Day 1b Concludes, Action Resumes at 1 p.m. Tomorrow

Chip leader Daniel Negreanu
Chip leader Daniel Negreanu
Rack 'em, stack 'em, bag'em, and tag 'em... Day 1b of the 2008 WSOP-Europe Main Event is in the books. Approximately 97 of today's 203 starters are still in the running, with Daniel Negreanu leading the pack with nearly 145,000 in chips.

"I've got more than anyone from yesterday! Yeeeeah!" confirmed Negreanu as the last hand was dealt.

Combined with yesterday's 86 survivors, we're looking at 183 players moving on to Day 2. Joining Negreanu at the top of the leaderboard are Jamie Rosen, David "Raptor" Benefield, Sargon Ruya, and Yuval Bronshtein.

Not as fortunate were Allen Cunningham, Jeff Madsen, Jordan Morgan, Sorel Mizzi, Carlos Mortensen, Alex Jacob, Julian Thew, Mike "Timex" McDonald, Antonio Esfandiari, John Phan, Gus Hansen, and defending champion Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad.

As always, official chip counts will be posted as soon as they become available.

Join us again tomorrow at 1 p.m. local time for continuing coverage live from the floor of the Empire Casino. From London's Leicester Square, we bid you good night and good luck.

Who Has Moves? Juha Has Moves

Helppi and the table he bluffed
Helppi and the table he bluffed
Tom Dwan raised from early position to 1,675 and found callers in the shape of Lauri Keinonen, Jamie Rosen, and Philippe Rouas in the small blind. Juha Helppi decided to ruin the party though and reraised it up to 6,500.

One by one, his opponents folded and as Helppi was raking in the pot Dwan piped up and said, "Go on show the bluff."

That's exactly what the Finn did as he flipped up {5-Clubs} {3-Spades}!!

The Choirboy Silenced

Gary "The Choirboy" Jones
Gary "The Choirboy" Jones
The player UTG+1 opened for 1,050, two middle-position players called, Gary Jones moved all in for 3,800, the UTG+1 player moved all in for 14,750, one of the middle-position players called and the other folded.

Jones' {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} was in dire shape against {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} and {J-Spades} {J-Hearts}. The board ran out {6-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}, the MP player's jacks holding, and Jones hit the rail with only minutes to go before we wrap for the day.

Rouas Takes One Down

Jennifer Tilly
Jennifer Tilly
Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott made it 1,500 in early position, and Jennifer Tilly swiftly called. A 'Fishy eyebrow was raised. Philippe Rouas in the big blind called as well.

All three players checked the {5-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {A-Diamonds} flop, but Rouas bet out 3,100 come the {Q-Diamonds} turn. Without further ado, Tilly and Devilfish both passed.

Table Tilly has now been broken, and curiously Tilly has been assigned Devilfish's former seat on Neil Channing's table.

Dwan a Little

Durrr
Durrr
Tom Dwan is down to 22,400 after making a good call on the flop but letting his opponent catch up on the river.

Dwan and Jamie Rosen called a raise from a player in early position before the flop came {2-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {6-Spades}.

Dwan led out for 1,775 before the initial raiser raised up to 6,000. Rosen folded but Dwan made the call. After that they both checked through the {9-Diamonds} and {10-Hearts} river.

Dwan showed {Q-?} {7-?} but his opponent showed {A-Clubs} {10-Spades} for a pair of tens made on the river. Rosen showed that he folded {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}.
