Bluff Magazine Launches European Version

Bluff Magazine Launches European Version 0001

Already one of the most popular poker magazines in the United States with a circulation of 250,000, Bluff Magazine will be strengthening their appeal by taking the next step into the burgeoning poker market of Europe.

It was announced January 25th that Bluff Magazine, which has become in a very short time one of the success stories in the American poker magazine world, will expand their horizons by providing a European version beginning in March. Following in the traditional footsteps of providing the magazine to players in the card rooms and casinos of the United Kingdom and Continental Europe, Bluff is looking to gain a foothold into one of the areas of the world that poker continues its expansive growth. With the magazine in the card rooms, Bluff will continue to work with other distribution partners to help it to spread further into the collective European consciousness.

The first issue of Bluff Europe promises to be one that not only focuses on the best the poker world has to offer but also will definitely have a European feel to it. The issue, due to come out on March 1st, will have former World Champion Phil Hellmuth on the cover as well as a feature on the legendary player, but also will have articles featuring the best in poker from Europe. In what should be a very interesting article, "A Circle Of Outlaws", the loosely knit European group that is led by former European Poker Player of the Year Marcel Luske and also features such other European stars as Noah Boeken, Luca Pagano, Patrik Antonius and Erica Schoenberg (among others), will be a prominent part of the issue.

Other features that will set the European version apart from its American cousin will be an article by one of the stars of "EastEnders", actor Michael Greco, about his love of the game of poker. Much like some of his American counterparts, such as actors James Woods and Jennifer Tilly, Greco has achieved some great success in the card rooms and tournaments of Europe and should be able to write very well about the games across the continent. There will also be a look at one of the most exclusive tournament in the world, as well as one of the richest, in an exclusive report on the activities of the 2005 Monte Carlo Millions.

Michael Caselli, the Editor in Chief of Bluff, stated that this is a logical step for the publication to take. "The poker lifestyle in Europe is a different animal to that in the United States," he said. "But Bluff Europe will be reflecting that. Just know that where poker goes, Bluff will follow." Features Editor Philip Conneller is also confident of success as he added, "With Bluff's winning blend of entertainment and information, we are confident that we can replicate the success achieved in the U. S." As very few magazines recognize the existence of the European world of poker, Bluff is making an excellent move by heading into the market with a specialized version just for them. Hopefully the European market will respond and Bluff Europe will have excellent results!
