Online Poker Weekend: 'Kid_Poker47' Claims Sunday Million Victory 0001

No, not that 'Kid Poker,' but another player with a Daniel Negreanu-like screen name on Poker Stars. 'Kid_Poker47' took down the Stars Sunday Million, courtesy of a couple of timely double-throughs at the final table, for a victory worth almost $200,000. Elsewhere, Full Tilt and Party Poker both eclipsed their pre-event guarantees on a night when a lot of unknown online players made deep runs to the big money.

Poker Stars Sunday Million

Another Sunday, another solid turnout at Poker Stars for the Sunday Million. 7,034 players meant a prize pool of $1,406,800, with 1,080 players making the money and first scheduled to be $198,358.80. 'DnCarlos' had topped $15 million in chips as the final nine assembled to decide the big money.

'MaroonLime' was the first of the nine to fall, his {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} not good enough to beat 'manager1st's {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}, with the {4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} board changing nothing. manager1st moved into the lead and padded it over the next several dozen hands, and caught {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} at the right moment to pick off 'Diabolo63,' who pushed with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and saw it go nowhere as the board arrived {2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Next out was a short-stacked 'delta,' forced in with a hand mucked at the river; 'Acey-Deucey' won a three-way pot that also included manager1st when his pocket tens stood up.

'blotzilla' suffered two tough beats to crash to the felt in sixth; on the second, his {a-Clubs}{9-Spades} lost to Acey-Deucey's {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} when the board brought {10-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the runner-runner straight. That let 'Naf70' slide up to fourth, before Naf70's own final stand with {q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} was swatted away by DnCarlos, whose {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} stayed ahead with a board of {6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Acey-Deucey, though, ran low on chips, and couldn't drive manager1st out of a pot with {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}; manager1st made the call with a meager {6-Spades}{4-Clubs} and picked up the knockout when the board delivered {5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

manager1st picked up another huge knockout when his {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flopped two pairs against DnCarlos, who started with {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}. The chips went in after the {6-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, and a {6-Diamonds} and {q-Hearts} completed the board. However, 'Kid_Poker47' had doubled through manager1st at a key moment earlier, and did it just two hands after heads-up play started to move into the lead. From there, Kid_Poker47 quickly closed out the win. The final hand saw Kid_Poker47 push pre-flop with {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}, and manager1st deliberated before calling with {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. The board showed {2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}, and Kid_Poker47's win was in the books.

Full Tilt $400,000 Guarantee

2,211 players made it to the latest edition of the Full Tilt $400,000 Guarantee, with 351 players making the money and first place worth over $81,000. 'poxyist' led the way to a well-balanced final table that early on included no desperately short stacks. 'Zuludogg' was the shortest and was indeed the first player bounced, but only due to bad luck; Zuludogg's {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} was cracked by poxyist's {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} when the board delivered {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}.

'bigbobm11' settled for eighth-place money when his {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} couldn't catch against 'SamH133,' who started with {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and stayed ahead when the board brought {6-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Seventh went to 'Wake all in,' who pushed with {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and found a caller in 'thorro,' who held {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. The board showed {7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, and the field was down to six. thorro picked up the next knockout as well, when his {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} flopped and slowplayed a set against 'supergirl72' who had {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and pushed after the turn on a {9-Hearts}{a-Spades}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board.

thorro's rush continued when his {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} outraced 'Willibal's {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} to send Willibal to the rail, catching a straight when the board provided {9-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. poxyist was down and up and down and finally out in fourth, when his {a-Spades}{3-Clubs} didn't improve against SamH133's {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}; the board on that hand offered {2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Then 'tkilpatrick1,' the shortest stack, doubled through twice to move into the lead.

The three battled on for over 50 hands before thorro sent SamH133 home in third. On that hand, thorro had {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} to SamH133's {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and a low {5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Clubs} board offered no real hope. tkilpatrick1 and thorro see-sawed for two dozen hands before tkilpatrick pulled ahead and sealed the win. The final hand saw thorro commit to {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, only to find tkilpatrick1 waiting with {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. The last board of the night was {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, and tkilpatrick had an $81,000 victory.

Party Poker $300,000 Guaranteed

Attendance for the $300,000 Guarantee at Party Poker jumped again, with 1,568 players on hand. A first prize of $62,720 topped the payouts list for the 200 who cashed., with 'nillan21,' with over $1.4 million in chips, the initial final-table leader.

'Ananasbrus' bowed out in tenth when his {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} was cracked by 'ksenya's {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, the board of {j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} completing a royal flush. After 'mariandl' exited in ninth, 'anteroj111' was eliminated in eighth when her {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} fell to nillan21's {k-Spades}{7-Spades}, on a board of {2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}. Soon after, with most of his chips dropped in a previous hand, 'ksenya' departed in seventh; that last stand saw {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} fall to the {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} of 'fcarrico,' with the board bringing {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

For the second straight week, this tourney then saw a six-way chop for the remaining prize money, with fcarrico in the lead and the deal struck close to chip-count numbers.

Ultimate Bet $200,000 Guaranteed

For the second straight week, a good chunk of bonus money (in the form of an overlay) was up for grabs at Ultimate Bet. 864 players made it to the weekly $200,000 Guarantee, with UB ultimately chipping in $27,200 of the prize pool. 90 players cashed, and first prize was worth $45,000.

The final table began with 'teecue's {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} sending '21maddog' to the rail; 21maddog started with {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}, but couldn't stay ahead when the board brought {9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{k-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Next to fall was 'Chuck_A_Luck,' whose {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} was outclassed by the {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} of 'pokerich93,' with the {2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts} board missing both players. Eighth went to 'theirbman,' whose last stand with {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} proved unlucky in a big way when 'jimmie23' gave it a go with {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, and watched as the board arrived {2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts}, improving from a full house to quad kings on the river. jimmie23's luck didn't last long, however, and he was the next to head to the virtual rail, when his own last stand with {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades} couldn't catch against 'myran2's {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, with a board of {9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

'Legato' claimed the next knockout when his {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} failed to improve on a board of {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}, but was still good enough to best 'Chubbs,' all in with {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. But like jimmie23 earlier, Legato was himself the next one out, running {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} into the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} of 'Big Jew.' The board on that hand offered {8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Fourth went to myran2 when his {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} missed against pokerich93's {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}, with a board that showed {k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

A long three-way battle between pokerich93, teecue, and Big Jew ensued, with Big Jew steadily adding to his lead. Finally, pokerich93 bowed out when his {q-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flopped a straight flush draw against teecue's {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, but after the {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop, a {2-Clubs} turn and {a-Spades} river left pokerich93 not so rich in memories and winnings, but not in chips. And finally, 'Big Jew' sealed the victory by catching in a big way with {a-Clubs}{7-Spades} against teecue, who started with {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} but couldn't get away from the hand. The board came {7-Hearts}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, with teecue drawing to two outs when the last of his chips went in.

Ultimate Bet - $200k - Final standings:

1st ($45,000): Big Jew

2nd ($27,000): teecue

3rd ($18,500): pokerich93
