At last, the main event of this season's FTOPS (Full Tilt Online Poker Series) at Full Tilt. This $500+$35 event boasted a stunning $2,000,000 guarantee, and, true to form, topped it. With 4,371 entrants, the top 585 places paid, with first receiving a massive $385,937.45 – life-changing money for all but the highest-rolling players.
A whopping 41 "red" Full Tilt pros, more than half of the 70-some currently on the site, got their tickets for this one. Scott Clements and Aaron Bartley were fresh off their appearances in Day 2 of Event #13. Among all the "red" pros, those who cashed were Amanda "Mandy B" Baker in 555th, Bartley in 346th (making two FTOPS cashes in a single day), Adam Schoenfeld in 319th, David Chiu in 167th, Jonathan Little in 114th, Mark Vos in 76th, and Eddy Scharf in an impressive 22nd.
Unlike the last FTOPS main event, this event's winner would have to be a complete newcomer, as there were no big names at the final table. (Unless you count this event as the first of many, and with the bankroll boost gained here, why not?)
