WSOP No Limit Hold'em Advanced Academy Announced

WSOP No Limit Hold'em Advanced Academy Announced 0001

The World Series of Poker Academy, a poker camp from the creators of Camp Hellmuth, has announced exciting new details for its upcoming, first-ever "advanced theory" No Limit Hold'em poker camp. The camp will focus on educating players on expert play through seminars, live discussions with poker pros, and tournaments. Players may remember former WSOP Academy attendee Sally Boyer, who proved how vital a poker camp can be by attending the WSOP Ladies Academy last year and going on to win the 2007 World Championship Ladies Event.

Along with the camp's focus on advanced theories of play, the WSOP Academy has put together an instructional group that no poker player will want to miss. Instructors for the two-day camp include Howard Lederer, Annie Duke, Phil Gordon, Paul Wasicka, Andy Bloch, Alex Outhred, and 'poker tells' specialist Joe Navarro, giving players the opportunity to learn directly from the professionals about poker theory and strategy.

The event is scheduled to take place April 18th and 19th at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where attendees will spend their time focusing on expert cash-game, tournament, and heads-up strategies, along with covering the advanced mathematics of the game. Players will end each day of the camp by competing in a private tournament where the winner will be awarded a $10,000 buy-in to the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event.

According to Jeff Goldenberg of Post Oak Productions, the company that produces the WSOP Academy, "If you've ever attended a poker camp before or you're a serious student of the game, now is the time to graduate to the next level. With our team of world-class instructors, our No Limit Hold'em Advanced Academy is the sure-fire way to elevate your game to new heights."

The cost of this year's WSOP No Limit Hold'em Advanced Academy is $1,999 per person and seats are expected to fill up fast. With the opportunity to learn poker from so many professional players and the chance to win a seat into the Main Event, this is one camp well worth the price of admission. Ladies interested in attempting to duplicate Sally Boyer's success will also want to make sure to sign up for the Ladies Only camp, which runs January 25th and 26th.
