Online Poker Weekend: 'LudvigA', 'RoxmorE' Win Majors 0001

Another busy Sunday of online poker action saw thousands of players in action in several major events. The weekend's biggest payday ($142,970.07) went to a nonwinner (AmirSF) in the PokerStars Sunday Million; after a late, four-way chop, Anders "RoxmorE" Losvik surged to collect top honors. Over at Full Tilt, LudvigA collected $139,409.17 for winning the Full Tilt $750,000 Guarantee. Highlights of Sunday's action:

PokerStars Sunday Million

The PokerStars Sunday Million boasted a field 7,651 entrants this weekend, with a total prize pool of $1,530,200. These were the chip counts as the final table began:

AmirSF — 16,537,563

ILIOS72 — 11,082,025

HuBaer582 — 10,358,200

ikszoorn — 9,335,186

detroitj6 — 8,962,244

Anders "RoxmorE" Losvik — 6,109,522

Joe "MarleyGroup" Urgo — 5,773,913

Nick "Coconut Soda" Fava — 4,649,782

matt1269 — 3,701,565

Joe "MarleyGroup" Urgo was the first finalist to bust, during the 150,000/300,000/30,000 level. AmirSF raised to 750,000 in the hijack and Urgo went all in for 4,303,913 on the button with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. AmirSF called with {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and the board ran out {j-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Urgo's turned straight fell to AmirSF's rivered full house as he took home $10,711.40 for his showing. A few hands later AmirSF eliminated matt1279. In the small blind AmirSF set matt1269 in with {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and matt1269 called all in for 3,101,565, holding {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. The board rolled out {4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and matt1269 was out in eighth place for $17,597.30.

Nick "Coconut Soda" Fava exited at 250,000/500,000/50,000. He went all in under the gun for 1,909,413 with {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} and found action from ikszoorn in the big blind, who showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. The board fell {6-Spades}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} as Fava collected $26,778.50 for seventh place. A few hands later, though, ikszoorn busted after shoving with {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}. AmirSF woke up with {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and called. No ace appeared and ikszoorn left with $39,020.10 for sixth place. Not much later detroitj6 ran {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} into Anders "RoxmorE" Losvik's {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and finished fifth when the board came {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Fifth place paid detroitj6 $54,322.10. The remaining four players worked out a deal that guaranteed each the following amounts, with $30,000 left over for the winner:

AmirSF — $142,970.07

ILIOS72 — $108,780.23

HuBaer582 — $95,744.61

Anders "RoxmorE" Losvik — $91,664.40

ILIOS72 hit the rail in fourth place after getting it in with {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades} against Anders Losvik's {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. The board fell {q-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{a-Spades}{6-Hearts} as Losvik took it with the higher flush. $108,780.23 went ILIOS72'S way. HuBaer582 exited at 500,000/1,000,000/100,000, and Anders Losvik again claimed the knockout. This time his {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} got the best of HuBaer582's {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} as the board rolled out {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. HuBaer582's third-place finish was worth $95,744.61.

Heads-up play began with Anders "RoxmorE" Losvik holding just about a 2:1 chip lead on AmirSF. Losvik took it down when his {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} held up against AmirSF's {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, with the board coming {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. AmirSF's runner-up showing was worth $142,970.07, with Anders "RoxmorE" Losvik collecting $121,664.40 for winning the PokerStars Sunday Million.
