Among the best finishers short of the final were Markus "LURPED" Gonsalves in eighth place ($44,685), Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams in ninth ($44,685), Ryan "toetagU" Fair in 10th ($25,652.50), Peter "Nordberg" Feldman in 12th ($25,652.50), Oren "H@££ingol" Halling in 13th ($18,205), Shawn "buck21" Buchanan in 14th ($18,205), Randal "RandALLin" Flowers in 17th ($18,205), Jon "TwistedEcho" Heath in 19th ($14,895), Jeremiah "Believer82" Vinsant in 23rd ($14,895) and Peter Eastgate in 24th ($14,895).

Making the final table here was Frank "gator93" Hernandez, fresh off a victory one night earlier in event #12-Hi. These were the chip counts as the final table began:

Sifosis — 529,181

garompon — 398,061

Matt "Hoss_TBF" Hawrilenko — 311,605

[xllllll]< — 194,208

Frank "gator93" Hernandez — 117,972

Nick "agriffrod" Mitchell — 103,973

Nick "agriffrod" Mitchell was the first one bounced from the final, during the 1,000/2,000/250 level. He raised to 4,755 under the gun and garompon popped it to 14,000 on the button. Mitchell went all in for 97,838 and garompon called with KK, having Mitchell's 1010 crushed. The board ran out 8325K as Nick "agriffrod" Mitchell busted in sixth place for $66,200.

The next to exit was Sifosis at 1,500/3,000/375. The early chip leader lost a big pot to [xllllll]< to become the short stack. Sifosis was crippled after raising to 8,000 from the cutoff, with [xllllll]< calling from the small blind. The flop came 10A7 and [xllllll]< led out 14,475, and Sifosis made it 51,000, which [xllllll]< called. The J fell on the turn and [xllllll]< checked it this time. Sifosis put out a bet of 75,000 and [xllllll]< went all in for 191,620. Sifosis quickly called with 77, but was now trailing [xllllll]<'s 98. The river landed the K and [xllllll]< doubled up to over 50,000, leaving Sifosis with just 30,000. A few hands later Sifosis' 44 did not hold against garompon's AQ and Sifosis was out in fifth place for $99,300.

Frank "gator93" Hernandez busted at 2,000/4,000/500. On the button garompon raised to 11,111, and Hernandez went all in for 102,387 from the small blind. [xllllll]< folded the big blind and garompon called with AQ, having Hernandez's A6 in dire straits. The board rolled out 7288A and Frank "gator93" Hernandez headed off in fourth place with $132,400.

A huge hand at 2,500/5,000/625 sent [xllllll]< to the rail. Garompon raised to 15,000 on the button and [xllllll]< called from the small blind. The flop came JKA and [xllllll]< led out for 24,225. Garompon raised it to 65,000 and [xllllll]< called, bringing the 5 turn. [xllllll]< checked and garompon bet 123,456. [xllllll]< called and the 5 fell on the river. Again. [xllllll]< checked and garompon shoved with the bigger stack. [xllllll]< deliberated for a few moments before calling, tabling AJ. Garompon flipped over Q10 for the flopped straight and won the massive pot. [xllllll]< collected $190,325 for third place.

The chip count at the start of heads-up play:

garompon: 1,068,462

Matt "Hoss_TBF" Hawrilenko: 586,538

Hawrilenko closed the gap, which led the two players to discuss a deal. The two agreed to a chop, with $25,000 remaining for the winner and the following payouts guaranteed:

garompon — $303,295.52

Matt "Hoss_TBF" Hawrilenko — $289,846.98

After nearly two hours of heads-up action and a four-hour final table, garompon finally notched the victory. At one point Hawrilenko held the lead and nearly closed out the win, but garompon hit a river three-outer and never looked back. On the final hand at 4,000/8,000/1,000, Hawrilenko was all in for his last 92,887 with K10 against garompon's A8. The board ran out 93J59 and Matt "Hoss_TBF" Hawrilenko finally fell in second for $289,846.98, with garompon's post-chop win in SCOOP Event #14-Hi worth $328,295.52
