With the 2016 Turbo Championship Of Online Poker (TCOOP) in full swing at PokerStars, it was no surprise that some of the biggest scores of the year were enjoyed on Sunday, January 24.

The largest of these scores is now nestled in the PokerStars account of Patrick "pmahoney22" Mahoney thanks to him emerging victorious from a field of 2,058 players. Grinding from Mexico, Mahoney navigated his way through a star-studded crowd to get his hands on his first 'COOP title and a colossal $144,712.44 – of which $35,225.68 was made up of bounty payments.

Mahoney defeated Estonia’s ”Canibus555” heads-up to secure the victory and had to battle with the likes of Will “molswi47” Molson and Kevin “GamblingPays” Allen at the final table. Those two fell in ninth and seventh place respectively for payouts of $11,916.67 and $23,258.32.

This weekend’s Sunday Million ended in a four-way chop, with the quartet locking up more than $90,000 each.

Ukraine’s “b2k-Snick” busted in fourth place for $90,640.10 while Mexico resident “PureRunnings” fell one place later, but not before locking up $139,126.29 – the most of any of those finishing in the money places. The runner-up was Canada’s “blazinchron”, who scooped $129,684.17, leaving “metis669” of Russia to claim the title and $112,764.71.
