Dates and Venues for the 2017 GUKPT Revealed
The long-running Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) is set for an 11th season after Grosvenor Casinos revealed the key dates for both the GUKPT and its popular 25/25 Series for the coming year, 2017.
The tour will return to the GUKPT Leeds leg, which was on the 2016 schedule but later cancelled due to ongoing repairs at the Grosvenor Casino. The casino was badly damaged by the devastating floods the city endured at the end of 2015. Otherwise, the 2017 schedule is almost the same as its 2016 counterpart, save for Edinburgh now being the third leg, not the seventh.

Also on the schedule of key dates are 45 of the Grosvenor 25/25 Series events, £220 buy in tournaments with £25,000 guarantee prize pools. These take place up and down the United Kingdom and are sure to be big hits with the locals of the casino they visit during 2017. The students among you need to keep April 19-23 free because those are the dates of the 2017 UK Student Poker Championships (UKSPC). The UKSPC has grown year-over-year since its creation, which means the £36 buy-in 2017 Main Event is likely to be nothing short of huge.
Finally, commit the dates July 27 through Aug. 6 to memory because this is when the £250,000 guaranteed Goliath Main Event returns to the Grosvenor Casino in Coventry. Vamshi Vandanpau won the 2016 Goliath, outlasting 5,231 opponents in the £120 buy in events, banking £62,750 after a three-way deal involving Robbie Richmond and Cristian Popescu.
