Tuchman and TonkaaaaP To Commentate on 888LIVE Events
Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. Hotdogs and mustard. Wherever you look in the world there are great partnerships. 888poker recently created its own amazing partnership by bringing together David Tuchman and Parker “TonkaaaP” Talbot in the commentary booth for 888Live events.
Tuchman is a veteran of the poker commentator world having put his voice to episodes of Poker Night in America and been the lead voice for the World Series of Poker live stream for the past six years.
In addition to his commentary duties, Tuchman is a lead pro for a poker training site and hosts a weekly podcast for Pro Football Focus.
Talbot is one of the most popular poker streamers on Twitch.tv and was recently added to 888poker’s impressive roster of professional players. Talbot is already streaming his play on 888poker every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, and will be joining Tuchman in the commentary booth when the 888Live tour jets off around the globe.
Tuchman and Talbot gave the poker community a glimpse of what to expect from their exciting partnership during the 2016 888Live Poker Festival London back in October. The dynamic duo got on like a proverbial house on fire and the chemistry was there for all to see and hear.
“We hit it off pretty well. We have very similar in-your-face banter personalities, so there will be a lot of grief given to one another," explained Talbot to 888poker's eMagazine. "I’m definitely excited to work with him again, and I recommend everyone to tune in because it will be a lot of fun.”
When asked if it was love at first site between Tuchman and Talbot, Tuchman said that while that may not have been the case, he knew of him from Twitch and thought he was funny and entertaining.
“Love at first site?" Tuchman said. "Hmmm, not so much for me. I mean, he’s like a little brother, you know, that annoying little brother that gets into all your stuff. I do think it was probably love at first site for him. I’m that sophisticated, older, wiser man he probably hopes to be one day...We spoke on the phone a couple of times, but we decided to jump into the deep end and see how it goes. I enjoyed working with him a lot.”
Tuchman and Talbot will be in the booth together during the 888Live King’s Festival which is currently running in Rozvadov until Feb. 6. The highlight of the festival has to be the €300,000 guaranteed Main Event, an €888 buy in tournament that runs from Feb. 2 to Feb. 6 which features three starting flights.
