In the Spotlight: Klatt, Sorrentino, Savard Earn Notice for Big Wins

The Hendon Mob database of tournament poker results is a much-consulted site for poker players and fans alike. Among the many rankings available on the site are ongoing lists of most searched players over the last week. Such lists provide quick snapshots of which tournament poker players are currently "in the spotlight" with their profiles being looked at the most.

Here are the most searched players on Hendon Mob over the last seven days as reported by the site this morning, Saturday, May 13:

As far as Hendon Mob look-ups go, Fedor Holz (1st) remained the most searched player over the last seven days by a fairly wide margin over the always popular Daniels — Daniel Negreanu (2nd) and Daniel Colman (3rd).

Those three all registered cashes in the PokerStars Championship presented by Monte-Carlo Casino®, though nothing new over the last week. Meanwhile Raffaele Sorrentino (4th) came away from Monaco earning a lot of headlines for his victory in the €5,300 Main Event where he topped a field of 727 players to earn a €466,714 first prize, thereby encouraging many to check out his page.

Andreas Klatt (9th) took second to Sorrentino in the PSC Monte-Carlo Main Event, rounding off a spectacular series that started with his victory in the €1,100 PokerStars National Championship where he bested a 1,252-entry field to win €151,445.

Those results (plus another final table in Monaco) positioned Klatt well to top the MonteDam Swing leaderboard and win a PokerStars Championship Barcelona package worth €7,500, something Klatt achieved once he cashed in the World Poker Tour Amsterdam Main Event this week. Right in the middle of the list are Doug Polk (5th-tie) and Jason Mercier (5th-tie), a pair of players in the news around this time last year during the lead-up to the 2016 World Series of Poker. Interestingly, those two were searched exactly the same number of times over the last seven days. Like many players, Polk and Mercier are currently involved in the Spring Championship of Online Poker at PokerStars where the $25,000 NLHE Heads-Up High Roller event tops the marquee this afternoon.

Finally, Erik Seidel (7th), Bryn Kenney (8th) and Charlie Carrel (10th) all also were searched a lot with visitors finding each of them most recently earning cashes in Monaco, among them Kenney's big victory in the €100,000 Super High Roller.

Hendon Mob also maintains a updated list of players with the biggest increase in unique hits over the previous seven days, a.k.a. the "Top Movers." Here's how that list appears this morning:

Only Mercier appears on both of these lists today, meaning there were a lot of players whose tournament successes got them a lot of extra attention over the past week.

Jean-Pascal Savard won the partypoker MILLIONS North America Main Event in Montreal, earning $956,000 CAD for coming out best from the huge 1,168-entry field. Jonathan Bussieres took second in that event and Philippe D'Auteuil third, making those two the second and third "top movers" in terms of increased Hendon Mob searches as well.

British player Jake Quinsee got some extra look-ups this week as well after some cashes in England, while the Frenchman Alexandre Reard's win in an event in Paris earned him a boost in searches. The others on the list also enjoyed tournament triumphs recently, including...
