The Global Poker Eagle Cup Series is Crushing its Guarantees 0001

The first half of the Global Poker Championships Eagle Cup over at Global Poker has seen great success with prize pools consistently exceeding guarantees by more than double.

Global Poker’s first Big Ante tournament was introduced as part of the Eagle Cup and the SC$1,000 guarantee was smashed with a total prize pool coming in at $2,980 — almost triple the amount that was promised!

Leaderboard Race

With plenty of events remaining, it is a tight race for the Eagle Cup Leaderboard which has SC$15,000 in added value. “Xodeadinsidexo” and “TickTockImaClock” are dead even with 1,275 points, while “JjlawaysAA” is hot on their heals with 1,255 points.

The player that tops this leaderboard by the end of the series will get the opportunity to represent Global Poker on the live felt with the help of a bonus $5,000 live tournament package.

Sunday Guarantee

One of the biggest events during the series is the Sunday SC$15,000 guarantee for a SC$110 buy-in. The first one of the series on Oct. 8 had a prize pool of almost SC$20,000 and “LOVE 209” from California emerged victorious. “Greeen” from Washington State took down the second edition of the event on Oct. 15.

The final Sunday SC$15,000 guarantee will go off at 1:15 p.m. ET on Oct. 22. This popular tournament will be replaced by the GPC Eagle 38-H: Main Event NLHE $25,000 Guaranteed [2R1A] on the final Sunday of the Eagle Cup. That event kicks off at 1:15 p.m. ET on Oct. 29 and is sure to be a juicy one.

Multiple Eagle Cup Title Winners

“LOVE 209” and “Greeen” will be looking to book another win during the series to join an elite group of Global Poker players who have multiple titles in the series thus far. These include “Kaos4715” from Florida, “Mirsad222” from Illinois, “jaredpoker” from New York, “Nickk9r” from California and “Frank1219” from Connecticut.

All of these lucky players will be receiving two champions packs complete with personalized trophies for their wins along with Global Poker gear.
