TigerGaming Poker Bad Beat Jackpot Swells to Almost $700K

  • The Bad Beat Jackpot has grown to almost $700,000 at TigerGaming. When will it be triggered?

In the wild, male Siberian tigers can reach a total length of more than 3.5 meters and can weigh up to 306kg, but while that is impressive, it is nowhere near how massive the Bad Beat Jackpot has grown to over at TigerGaming.

Unless the jackpot is triggered soon, it is going to hit a whopping $700,000; as of publish time, it stood at an impressive $693,888. If the jackpot is hit at its current amount, someone will walk away with $190,819, which would be the second-largest jackpot awarded at the site.

How does the Bad Beat Jackpot work? Let’s find out. First, you need to be seated at a Bad Beat Jackpot table. These are easily recognizable because they have a star next to the table name. Play on these tables works like a standard cash game, but there is an additional $0.10 rake removed from each $4 in the pot, up to a maximum of $0.50 per hand; this funds the jackpot.

Secondly, the Bad Beat Jackpot is triggered when someone uses both their hole cards and loses with four of a kind jacks or better. Both hole cards must be used by the winning hand, too. If these simple criteria are met, the Bad Beat Jackpot is distributed as follows:

  • 27.5 percent of the bonus is given to the player who had the bad beat (the loser of the hand)
  • 15 percent is given to the winner of the hand
  • 15 percent is split evenly among the other players at the table where the bad beat happened
  • 5 percent is given to all other players on Bad Beat tables
  • 27.5 percent is used to reseed the jackpot
  • 10 percent is for administrative costs

Using the current jackpot amount, if you were seated at a Bad Beat Jackpot table when the jackpot is triggered, you’d have a $34,694 deposit into your account! How amazing is that?

If you don’t have a TigerGaming account, now is the time to change that fact. Download the TigerGaming software via PokerNews today and you can claim a bonus of up to $2,500 when you make your first deposit at the site. Make a deposit of at least $50 and then send an email to bonuses@tigergaming.com with “NEWTG” in the subject line and the kind folks at TigerGaming will reward you with a bonus that is 100 percent of your initial deposit amount up to a maximum of $2,500.

All you need to do then is head to the Bad Beat Jackpot tables and hope that your luck is in, or should that be that your luck is out? Either way, you’re going to win big!
