partypoker LIVE Announces Return of the MILLIONS UK Festival

The partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK festival returns to Dusk Till Dawn in September after successful debut in 2017. £8.5 million is guaranteed to be won across the five scheduled events, with a massive £5 million guaranteed for the Main Event alone.

Maria Lampropulos made poker history at the previous edition of the MILLIONS UK Main Event when she became the first female partypoker LIVE champion. The Argentinian outlasted 1,203 opponents in the £5,300 buy-in tournament to get her hands on £1 million.

That seven-figure score, the largest of her career, gave Lampropulos the bankroll and confidence to play in any live poker tournament she wished. Lampropulos has since gone on to cash in seven World Series of Poker events and even found time to take down the $10,300 Main Event at the 2018 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure for $1,081,100.

Lampropulos has not confirmed if she will head to the Dusk Till Dawn casino in Nottingham to defend her title, but partypoker ambassador Sam Trickett will be there vying for his share of glory. Speaking to the partypoker blog, Trickett said: “I can’t wait for the MILLIONS UK stop. Dusk Till Dawn was like a second home for me back when I first started playing and it’s always nice to head back there and see all the familiar faces. The last MILLIONS UK event absolutely smashed the guarantee, showing that the players support what partypoker are doing for them with their live tour and I am really looking forward to playing for a share of the £5 million on offer this time around.”

2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK Schedule

The MILLIONS UK festival commences on Sep. 29 with the start of the £1,100 buy-in Open, which has a £1 million guaranteed prize pool. This is followed by the £5 million guaranteed Main Event, a £25,500 Super High Roller with £1 million guaranteed, a £550 buy-in Finale with £500,000 up for grabs, with the £10,300 High Roller wit £1 million guaranteed bringing the curtain down.
