WSOP Day 15: Joe McKeehen Runs Deep in MILLIONAIRE MAKER
On a day that saw Doyle Brunson finish sixth in Event #23: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship — i.e., his last tournament — there were several other notables seeking their own glory. Among them was 2015 Main Event winner Joe McKeehen who today will be looking for a bracelet with 17 players remaining in Event #21: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em MILLIONAIRE MAKER.
In other events, Faraz Jaka is among those with a nice stack heading into today's third day of Event #24: THE MARATHON - $2,620 No-Limit Hold'em. Meanwhile both Barry Greenstein and Eli Elezra are among the chip leaders in Event #25: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better.
Event #21: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em MILLIONAIRE MAKER
Who will take home the more-than-a-million due to go to the winner in this one? The poker world should know on Wednesday with 17 players returning to play down to a champion in the MILLIONAIRE MAKER.
Indiana's Chad Hahn leads the field with 6,525,000 chips, followed by Sean Marshall (6,160,000) and Manuel Ruivo (5,900,000). Hahn has a bit over $100,000 in live tournament winnings and looking for his first breakthrough win.
As noted Joe McKeehen (4,210,000) is still in the hunt as well. Barny Boatman (1,150,000) is also still in, having notched his 50th WSOP cash in this event.
The tournament attracted 7,361 entries to create a $9,937,350 million prize pool. The winner will get a whopping $1,173,223 first prize to go with the bracelet. Day 4 begins at 11 a.m. and the PokerNews live updates team will be there to the finish to report who among the final 17 will earn the seven-figure score.
Event #24: THE MARATHON - $2,620 No-Limit Hold'em
From a 1,637-entry field there are 246 players are still in the running to begin Day 3 of this five-day event. Walter Fisher (641,500) sets the pace at present followed by Scott Einiger (636,000) and Daniel Colpoys (598,500).
As noted, Faraz Jaka is still in with a big stack of 491,500.
Other big names remaining include Kristen Bicknell, Chris Moorman, Jesse Sylvia, Cate Hall, David Peters, Christian Pham, and 2013 WSOP Main Event Champion Ryan Riess.

Event #25: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better
Only 23 players remain for the third day of this seven-card stud hi-lo event. England's Benjamin Dobson leads those returning with 595,000 chips. Dobson has more than $872,000 in live tournament winnings and looking for his first bracelet.
Rounding out the top five are Barry Greenstein (349,000), Jesse Martin (335,000) , Eli Elezra (334,000), and Nicholas Kiley (276,000).
Other names still in the field include James Woods (210,000), Georgios Sotiropoulos (231,000), Tom McCormick (132,000), and Matt Savage (79,000).

Event #26: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha
There were plenty of PLOers getting in on the fun for Tuesday's Day 1 — 986 of them, to be exact, creating a $887,400 prize pool. Leading the pack at night's end was Ryan Goindoo (196,000 chips), who hails from from the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. He has $686,576 in live tournament winnings and looking for his first bracelet.
Goindoo is followed in the counts by Ivaylo Sivinov (192,900) and Clinton Monfort (173,900). A few other players remaining in the field include Felipe Ramos, Christian Harder, 2009 WSOP Main Event Champion Joe Cada, Martin Finger, Mikhail Semin, Calen McNeil, and Shannon Shorr. Day 2 resumes at 12 noon on Wednesday.

Event #27: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E.
The big buy-in H.O.R.S.E. gallops ahead to Day 2 on Wednesday. There are 72 players remaining from a field of 157 with registration open until the restart of the second day.
Leading the pack is Shaun Deeb with 234,500 chips followed by Michael McKenna (215,500), Robert Mizrachi (212,500), Brock Parker (199,500), and Ryan Miller (198,000).
Other notables remaining in the field include David Benyamine (166,500), James Obst (164,500), Anthony Zinno (162,000), David "Bakes" Baker (159,000), Ian Johns (158,000), Cliff Josephy (142,500), John Monnette (142,000), Jeff Lisandro (132,500), Daniel Negreanu (25,500), and Jason Mercier (79,000).

Event #28: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed
This mid-price, short-handed event should bring out plenty of rounders looking for a nice return on their investment. Players start with 15,000 chips and levels are 60 minutes.
England's Chris Moorman locked up his first bracelet and $498,682 in this event last year, topping a field of 959 entries and earning just under half a million of the $2,589,300 prize pool. Event #29: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw
Lowball has been in the news a lot at the Rio of late, thanks in part to Doyle Brunson's deep run in last night's $10K 2-7 NL Lowball Draw Championship. This lower cost, triple-draw version of "deuce" should attract a number of lowball fans.
This event attracted 326 entries last summer for a $446,100 prize pool. Colorado's Brian Brubaker took home the bracelet and $109,967 first prize. He's cashed in eight 2-7 Lowball tournaments since 2011 and also finished third in the $2,500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw in 2013, so we'll see he comes back to defend his title.
The tournament begins at 3 p.m. today. Players will start with 7,500 chips and levels will last 60 minutes each. And, of course, PokerNews will be there to deliver to you all the lowball lowdown.
