Global Poker Eagle Cup II Wraps; Tournament of Champions Kicks Off
The Global Poker Eagle Cup II Main Events took place last Sunday, with the big winners cashing for over SC$26,000. The top two finishers from the three Sweeps Cash Main Events and the Gold Coins Main Events will also be joining the other top two finishers from every championship event of the series in the TOC.
These Global Poker champions will take their shot Sunday, Oct. 28 in the Tournament of Champions that kicks off at 2 p.m. ET. The champion of the champions will be claiming the top prize which is a $5,000 live tournament package that provides a chance to represent Global Poker in a live event of the player’s choosing. On top of that, there will be SC$5,000 in extra value up for grabs.
Big Eagle Cup Main Event Winners
The SC$218 High Main Event with a SC$100,000 guarantee saw 457 runners compete, and “Chiprekt” from Mississippi emerged victorious after just over six hours to collect the SC$18,850 top prize. A total of 72 players got their hands on a payday of at least SC$330. The SC$110 buy-in Medium Main Event offered up a SC$40,000 guarantee and Indiana’s “Spicoli2494” outlasted the field of 396 after almost 5.5 hours of play to grab SC$7,580. California’s “ShoeStoreClerk” took second to join Spicoli2494 in the TOC. The final table results follow.
