PokerNews Live Updates USA

It’s going to be a busy weekend on PokerNews!

In addition to live reporting the 2019 PokerStars EPT Barcelona, the PokerNews Live Reporting Team is spread across the United States set to offer updates from four different events. Get all the details here.

2019 Colorado Poker Championship

Since August 8, Golden Gates Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado has been playing host to the Colorado Poker Championship (CPC) 2019 Summer Series. The stop, which runs through August 28, is comprised of two dozen tournaments including the $1,100 CPC Main Event (August 22-26) and a $2,500 High Roller (Wednesday, August 28).

PokerNews will live report both of those tournaments.

The series kicked off with the $400 buy-in Event #1: $400 NLH, which crushed its $100k guarantee by attracting 620 runners and creating a $210,800 prize pool. A deal was worked that resulted in Derrick Montano claiming the title for $24,357 in prize money.

2019 RunGood Poker Series Grand Casino

The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) kicked off its Fall “Game 7” season last weekend in Tunica, which is when Tiffany Keathley won the $575 Main Event for $48,796 after a five-way deal.

There’s only one new addition to this season’s RGPS schedule, and it happens to be this week’s event. The RGPS is headed to the Grand Casino and Resort, located just 15 minutes outside of Oklahoma City.

“The Grand Casino is excited to host such a great event to bring in poker action from all over the Midwest,” said Chad Toy, Poker Room Manager at Grand Casino and Resort.

Each RGPS stop features a championship Signature Ring for the winners of each event, including this weekend’s $575 buy-in, $100k GTD RGPS Grand Casino Main Event. That tournament, which offers three starting flights, will be live reported by PokerNews.

Ante Up Poker Tour Atlantis

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will also be at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada for the Ante Up Poker Tour Atlantis $1,100 buy-in, $200k GTD Main Event. The winner of that tournament will appear on the cover of the October issue of Ante Up Magazine and receive a seat in the 2020 Ante Up World Championship Main Event.

The stop began back on August 15 and will have offered more than $350,000 in guaranteed money over 19 events by the time things are said and done.

“Our tournament area at the Atlantis is on the second floor, right above the poker room and race and sportsbook. We have floor-to-ceiling windows stretching wall to wall that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains,” said Keith Dames, poker room manager at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. “I refer to it on Twitter as #PokerWithAView. Speaking of Twitter, follow @PokerAtlantis for updates, scheduling info, hotel rates and other fun things.”

Finally, the third stop of the 2019/20 World Series of Poker Circuit season is happening now at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. While there, PokerNews will offer updates from two events.

The first is the $1,700 Main Event, which boasts a $500,000 GTD prize pool. Day 1a of that tournament kicks off at noon on Friday, August 23, while Day 1b will be at the same time on Saturday, August 24.

The second is the $3,250 buy-in, $80k GTD High Roller, which starts at 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 25 and will wrap the following day.
