Chris Moorman Bags Quarter of a Million Dollars!

The United Kingdom’s Chris Moorman is one of online poker’s biggest winners with more than $16.7 million in earnings. On November 29, he added another quarter of a million dollars to his bankroll after taking down the High Roller MILLION$ at GGPoker.

Some 491 players made it through to the final day and 350 of those returnees walked away with a share of the $1,659,500 prize pool. The likes of Bryan Paris, Pascal Hartmann, Niklas Astedt, Andras Nemeth, Daniel Dvoress, and Andrey Pateychuk cashed but it was Moorman who excelled.

All nine finalists guaranteed themselves $14,289, the prize awarded to “cbkme” when they crashed out in ninth place. “guysneves” and Poland’s “KennyKaarten” were the next casualties, they banked $20,854 and $30,435 respectively.

Seth Davies claimed the $44,418 sixth-place prize before “Oye Como Va” of India locked up a $64,825 score. The final five-figure prize went to “shreeOHM” whose fourth-place finish saw a $94,608 haul land in their GGPoker account.

One of two Brazilian to reach the top three, “donkey”, fell in third for $138,073 to leave Moorman and donkey’s fellow Brazilian “SolverJail” heads-up. A deal was struck that saw SolverJail win $243,769 and Moorman win yet another major online poker tournament plus $251,828 in prize money.

Dario Sammartino Secures $100,466 Prize

Dario Sammartino is $100,466 richer than at the start of the weekend courtesy of triumphing in the $5,250 buy-in High Rollers Blade Closer.

A compact field of 58 entrants meant only the final seven finishers won some of the $290,000 prize money, Daniel Hindin being the player who reached the final table but went home empty-handed.

Anatoly Filatov’s seventh-place finish saw the Russian collect $12,037 before Stephen Chidwick and Alex Kolonias fell by the wayside, passing the cashier on their way home to get their hands on $16,675 and $23,098 prizes.

Daniel Dvoress continued his impressive form at GGPoker with a fourth-place finish worth $31,997. “danludan” of Russia crashed in third for $44,324, leaving Seth Davies and Sammartino to fight it out one-on-one for the title.

Sammartino got the job done and was worth of his $100,466 haul. Davies consoled himself with a $61,399 runner-up prize.

Tuen Mulder Takes Down partypoker High Roller Big Game

Team partypoker had five of its members in the top 20 finishing places of the High Roller Big Game but it was Dutch star Teun Mulder who shone the brightest and became the tournament’s champion.

The top 20 finishers from the 147-strong crowd won a share of $375,750. Dzmitry Urbanovich (19th - $5,824), Roberto Romanello (14th - $6,951), Isaac Haxton (11th - $8,454), Kristen Bicknell (9th - $9,957) and Jordan Drummond (6th - $17,848) were partypoker’s representatives who cashes.

Drummond’s exit was followed by Pascal Hartmann then Adrian Mateos, the latter turning his $2,600 into $31,938. David Yan has been in remarkable form recently but he ran out of steam in third, a finish worth $44,458.

Mulder and his fellow Dutchman Pascal Teekens locked horns heads-up and it was Mulder who emerged victoriously. Mulder padded his bankroll with $84,806 with Teekens collecting $61,051.

Georgios “Geokarak” Karakousis Takes Down PokerStars Sunday High Roller

Greece’s Georgios “Geokarak” Karakousis is the Sunday High Roller champion after he topped a field of 374 entrants at PokerStars.

All but two of the nine finalists walked away with a five-figure prize. Julian “HealTheWorld” Thomas collected $7,611 for his demise in ninth-place with “Old brock” netting $9,298 when he busted in eighth.

It was a tough final table but the waters grew less shark-infested with every elimination. “Saruuky”, “FStar4” and Daan “DaanOss” Mulders crashed and burned before Lithuania’s Audrius “Stakelis24” Stakelis fell in fourth for $29,075.

Mike “munchenHB” Telker, fresh from his runner-up finish in the partypoker Caribbean Poker Party Main Event, finished third for $38,663. This left “JoseGuti” of Sweden and Karakousis heads-up. The Swede fell at the final hurdle, a finish worth $51,413, meaning Karakousis banked the $68,368 top prize and the title of champion.

Trio Of Victories at 888poker

Russia’s “AHDPIOXA77” was the biggest winner at 888poker this weekend after they took down the $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep. The unthinkable happened on November 29 and this tournament surpassed its guarantee. It traditionally overlays but a prize pool of $102,950 was created and AHDPIOXA77 netted $17,388 of that.

Ben “xLIVEPROx” Warrington finished first from 296 entrants in the $25,000 Sunday Challenge. Warrington won $6,465 in total, $3,026 from the main prize pool and $3,439 worth of bounties.

Another British player, “torresfan03”, won the $30,000 Sunday Sale Whale. They secured $8,142 of the $35,400 prize pool after outlasting 176 opponents.
