King's Resort Confirms Vaccination Stance Ahead of WSOP Europe

2021 WSOPE

With less than a month to go for the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE), King's Resort confirmed its COVID rules for the series on Tuesday, October 26.

To comply with the latest laws in the Czech Republic, it has been announced that anyone who wishes to enter King's Resort in Rozvadov will need to prove they have had two doses of an EU-approved COVID vaccine — or a single dose if you have received the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen Pharmaceuticals jab.

However, people who have yet to be vaccinated can still play at the WSOPE as long as they pass a rapid antigen or PCR test. This is in addition to compulsory facemask wearing when in the casino and when playing at the tables.

Thankfully, this clarity will help avoid the issues that arose when the World Series of Poker announced that only fully vaccinated players could participate.

WSOPE COVID Requirements

Announcing on their Facebook page, King's Resort has confirmed that all visitors will need to meet at least one of the requirements below to take part in the WSOPE. Those conditions are:

  • Provide results of a negative antigen test taken within 24 hours of arrival
  • Provide results of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival
  • Provide official proof that they have recovered from COVID-19 within 180 days of arrival
  • Provide proof that they have received an EU-approved vaccine

Further to this, any proof of vaccine certificate from a player's native country will be accepted as well as the EU Digital COVID Certificate which is also referred to as the Green Pass.
