Oldest Casino in the World

Casinò di Venezia was founded in 1638, and first opened as a theatre with a bespoke area for gambling. It has held major poker tournaments before, most recently a 2013 World Poker Tour (WPT) stop won by Italian Rocco Palumbo.

Venice

"We are excited to partner with PokerGO and deliver an out-of-this-world experience for high rollers at the oldest casino in the world,” said General Manager of Casinò di Venezia Alessandro Cattarossi. "Players are going to love the city of Venice with its fine culture, food, and wine available."

The all-time money list for the venue is currently topped by Italian Alessio Isaia, with former WSOP Main Event champion Martin Jacobson and Italian European Poker Tour champion Salvatore Bonavena featuring in the top ten.

Isaia's mark of just over $630,000 looks set to easily be surpassed by the high roller tournament-playing that are gunning for the 2022 PokerGO Tour title.

"We are incredibly excited for our players to experience high-stakes poker at such an iconic venue in a stunning location," said PokerGO President Mori Eskandani.
