Double-Homicide Livestreamed in Vegas Near WSOP Venue; Suspect in Custody

Police have arrested a YouTube streamer following a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday night on the Las Vegas Strip across the street from the World Series of Poker (WSOP) at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
The shooting took place in front of the iconic Bellagio Fountains, according to video of the incident shared on social media. A video of a live stream shows a man, who police believe to be Manuel Ruiz (aka "Sin City Manny" on YouTube), in a white hat and glasses shooting a handgun and rushing forward off-screen. Subsequent videos show bystanders fleeing the area.
Suspect in Custody
The Las Vegas Metro Police Department (LVMPD) issued a statement Monday morning following the arrest. Ruiz, according to police, willingly turned himself in at the Henderson Police Station. He was booked and will be charged with two felony counts of open murder with a deadly weapon.
Two people were killed in the shooting, which occurred in front of the Bellagio fountains while dozens of innocent bystanders witnessed the incident. Police have not released any further details. But the shooting appears to have stemmed from a year-long feud between Ruiz, whose YouTube page was deleted following the shooting, and "Finny Da Legend," another streamer who has 3,700 YouTube subscribers.
Strip Closes; WSOP Carries On
Though the shooting led to police officers blocking pedestrian and vehicle access to the Strip in front of the Bellagio and surrounding casinos, the incident didn't seem to impact the WSOP festival across the street.
Nor did it disrupt the Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival XI that kicked off on Sunday inside the Bellagio.
Still, several poker players took to social media to warn WSOP attendees to avoid the Strip and to stay safe.
