Over $250,000 in Guaranteed Prize Pools at RGPS Grand Prix Council Bluffs

The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) is heading back to Iowa for the RGPS Grand Prix Council Bluffs stop at Horseshoe Iowa, which will feature 13 ring events with $215,000 in guaranteed prize pools across six days of action.

The RGPS Grand Prix Council Bluffs stop, running Nov. 18-23, will culminate with the $800 buy-in Main Event with a $111,000 guaranteed prize pool. PokerNews will be on-site to live report the Main Event action.

13 Ring Events

The RGPS Council Bluffs stop will kick off on Nov. 18 with a $250 Seniors Ring Event with a $20,000 guarantee, followed by a $250 Series Opener Ring Event and $200 Opening Night Ambassador Bounty Ring Event the same day, both of which offer $10,000 guarantees.

Nov. 19 will see a $400 Deepstack NLH Ring Event with a $30,000 guarantee and a $250 One Day NLH Ring Event with a $10,000 guarantee, followed the next day by a $400 Black Chip Bounty NLH Ring Event with a $25,000 guarantee and a $300 Tag Team Ring Event ($150 per player) with a $10,000 guarantee.

Main Event action will kick off on Nov. 21 with the first of three starting flights. The marquee event will then play to a winner on Nov. 23.

The RGPS Grand Prix Council Bluffs stop will close out with a $400 Series Sendoff NLH Ring Event with a $10,000 guarantee.

Last Time in Iowa

Earlier this year, the 2025 RGPS Mission RunGood Council Bluffs $800 Main Event drew 461 entrants for a prize pool of $322,700. The ring went to Thomas Wikoff as he turned a $190 satellite victory into $64,869 despite primarily being a cash game player.

The final table also included ten-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit ring winner Corey Paggeot (8th - $8,535), Eric Kyle (3rd - $29,237) and runner-up Nick Hall ($45,465).

After wrapping up in Iowa, the RunGood team will head to California for RGPS Grand Prix Jamul Casino in San Diego, which will include a $600 Main Event with a $150,000 guarantee.
