Only a handful of points-earning tournaments are left to play for those chasing down the top spot in the Grosvenor Poker National Poker League (NPL). Whoever comes out on top in the NPL standings as revellers belt out Auld Lang Syne on December 31 will receive a £40,000 sponsorship package from Grosvenor Poker for 2026.

If the curtain came down on proceedings today, Thomas Clack would be the worthy NPL winner. Clack has amassed 402.01 points to date and enjoys a 57.71-point lead over the chasing pack, with Keith Littlewood (344.30) being Clack's nearest rival.

However, the NPL's conclusion is still a little under two months away, and while opportunities to accumulate leaderboard points are limited, there are still some juicy tournaments for the would-be Grosvenor Poker-sponsored grinders to add to their tallies.

Those who follow PokerNews 's recaps of Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) and 888poker UK Poker League (UKPL) events will almost certainly have seen the names in the above table prominently featured. The current top ten have done some serious grinding throughout the year, and when top talent logs a lot of volume, results tend to follow.

Ravi Sheth, who a couple of months ago looked out of the race, has clawed his way into third-place in the current standings. Sheth is only a couple of points behind second-place Littlewood and has a realistic chance of toppling Clack from his lofty position. Sheth will need results to go his way during the in-play GUKPT Blackpool festival, and the upcoming 888poker UKPL Coventry and GUKPT Grand Final, but stranger things have happened in poker.

Those at the top of the tree should also keep looking over their shoulders and keep an eye on what Philip Tate is up to. The low-to-mid-stakes grinder has 70 in-the-money finishes since February 2022, including 20 in 2025 alone. Tate is on track for a £10,000 Diamond Package, which would enable him to participate in higher buy-in events throughout 2026.

Upcoming NPL Events

As mentioned, cards are in the air at GUKPT Blackpool, with that festival wrapping up on November 9. The GUKPT Grand Final, which runs at the recently renovated Grosvenor Victoria Casino between November 19-30, is the last stop of the 2025 GUKPT.

A handful of Grosvenor 25/50 tournaments are still to play out between now and December 31, including the Newcastle Mini Fest (December 1-7) and the Behemoth (December 9-14). Last year, Cristinel Costin took down the Behemoth, outlasting 1,346 entrants and scooping £43,700 after a heads-up deal with Gary Nordigian.

There will be many NPL points up for grabs at the final UKPL stop of 2025. The 888poker UKPL Coventry runs November 10-16 at the Grosvenor G Casino in Coventry, featuring a £560 buy-in Main Event with a £100,000 guarantee.

Good luck to everyone chasing down a place on the 2025 Grosvenor NPL table.
