Phil Ivey To Captain Team Americas in WSOP Asia-Pacific Caesars Cup

Phil Ivey The inaugural World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific is right around the corner with just two weeks standing between now and the first "shuffle up and deal" of the series. The schedule features five WSOP gold bracelet events and will attract a massive local conglomerate of players along with some of the biggest global names in the game. The festivities kick off Thursday, April 4, and will run through Monday, April 15. Joe Hachem... I vote Lee Nelson


CheehC — Joe Hachem has a bit more tie to the WSOP than Lee Nelson does, though, but I can see what you mean by your argument. Leo Boxell would also be a great choice. We've seen America face Europe in this thing before, so I'm personally very interested in seeing who is on that team.


You almost have to put Oliver Speidel on the Aussie team given his recent success. I'm sure he'll also recruit his brother Tony.


Chad_Holloway — Well, it's Team Asia-Pacific, so he the team may include much more than just Aussies. I could see one player from New Zealand, one from Australia and two from the Asian region filling out the team behind Hachem.
