Biography

Rajaee “Rob” Wazwaz is one of the most well-known poker players from Minnesota. He has nearly $1.9 million in lifetime earnings (as of Summer 2022) according to The Hendon Mob, including a career-best score of $353,346 for winning the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Event #25: $800 No-Limit Hold’em Deep Stack. By doing so, he became just the 10th Minnesotan in history to claim a gold bracelet.

In 2021, Wazwaz finished in 11th place in the MSPT Venetian $1,600 Main Event for $26,753 to notch his 25th MSPT Main Event cash and become the eighth player to ever play their way into the MSPT Hall of Fame.

In order to gain induction, a player must do one of two things. First, they can achieve a minimum of 25 MSPT Main Event cashes along with either an MSPT win or MSPT Player of the year title. Second, they can achieve a minimum of 10 MSPT Main Event final tables along with either an MSPT win or an MSPT Player of the year title.

For Wazwaz, his 25 Main Event cashes complimented his win in the 2018 MSPT Canterbury Park for $109,375.
