The 2017 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event recently had its guarantee boosted from €4 million to €5 million and a cool €1 million of that massive sum is reserved for the eventual champion. The buy-in for the WSOPE Main Event weighs in at €10,350 but thanks to PokerNews and 888poker, you could be playing in it for free.
There are five PokerNews-exclusive WSOPE Main Event Satellite tournaments taking place at 7:00 p.m. CET on Sep. 18, Sep. 21, Sep. 25, Sep. 28 and Oct. 2 that only cost $1 to buy into. For this affordable sum, players receive 3,000 chips and play to 15-minute blinds. Should you dust off your stack within the first hour of play, you can rebuy for $1 as many times as you need. Those of you who make it through to the break, you can purchase 3,000 add-on for $1.
All you need to do then is finish in the top 10 of any of these satellites and a ticket to the PokerNews-exclusive WSOP Main Event Final is all yours.
This final takes place at 7:00 p.m. CET on Oct. 14 and pays out the top five players. Buy-in with either a ticket you have won via the five satellites, or directly for $55. The final is a freezeout so once you have bust it is game over.
The eventual winner will walk away with a $13,000 WSOP Main Event package, the runner-up wins a $109 ticket, with those finishing third through fifth securing a $12 ticket each.
