Day 2 of the 2013 PokerStars.net Australia New Zealand Poker Tour Sydney Main Event has officially come to an end. Returning today were 175 players to battle it out, and by the end we were left with just 22. The field will return tomorrow to fight it out for the trophy and the $223,600 first-place prize.
The remaining 22 will all be chasing one man, Dejan Divkovic, who steamrolled through the final few levels of the day to finish with a stack of 1.434 million in chips. That more than doubles his nearest opponent, Donald Jones, who accumulated a respectable 689,000.
The day started with some big names including Ashley Warner, Ricky Kroesen, Martin Kozlov, Brendan Rubie, Dale Marsland, Joe Cabret and Tom Wing. Unfortunately for those players mentioned, they were unable to make a deep run in the tournament.
