Hand #157 - Stewart Scott

Stewart Scott
Stewart Scott
Peter Rho has the button. The pot is once again limped, this time between Rho and big blind Stewart Scott. Scott checks a flop of {K-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}, then calls a bet of 100,000 from Rho. The turn card is the {J-Diamonds}. Scott checks a seond time. Rho fires out 225,000 chips and is quickly raised by Scott to 600,000.

As we have seen many times today, Rho rests his elbows on the rail and puts his hands over his mouth as he contemplates his decision. He takes much less time than normal before calling. The river is a blank, the {5-Clubs}.

Scott has first action and pushes out two full stacks of chocolate chips -- one million total. Rho stands up from his chair and cuts two stacks of chocolate chips off of his own stack. He's talking to himself. He finally calls. Scott shows the nuts, {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs}, a Broadway straight. Rho slowly and quietly mucks his hand.

It's a huge pot for Aussie Stewart Scott, pushing him to 7.6 million in chips. We'll watch closely to see how Peter Rho conducts himself over the next few hands. He's down to roughly 2.9 million chips now.

Hand #160 - Stewart Scott

Peter Rho has the button. Elliot Smith calls from the small blind and Stewart Scott checks his option. The flop comes {7-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {3-Clubs} and Smith bets 100,000. Scott raises to 300,000 and Smith calls, bringing out the {A-Clubs} turn. Both check and the river is the {Q-Hearts}. Smith checks and Scott bets 300,000. Smith takes his time and starts to converse with Scott about the bet. After a few minutes, Smith makes the call, but mucks his cards when Scott flips over {Q-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} for the rivered two-pair.

With that pot, Stewart Scott crosses the 8,000,000 chip mark.

Hand #161 - Stewart Scott

Elliot Smith has the button. He folds. Stewart Scott completes the small blind and Peter Rho declines his option. The flop is a very well-connected {10-Spades} {8-Clubs} {J-Hearts}. Scott quickly fires out a bet of 200,000. Rho calls to the turn, which is the {9-Diamonds}. Both players check, bringing us to the {A-Diamonds} river. Scott bets 400,000. It looks like another value bet. Rho folds, and another cheer goes up from the gallery outside. Scott shows {7-Clubs} {9-Hearts} for the flopped straight. He's on fire!

Six Out of Seven

This is quickly turning into a battle for second place between Elliot Smith and Peter Rho. Stewart Scott is running away with the chips. He's won six out of the last seven pots.

Hand #164 - Peter Rho

Elliot Smith has the button. Stewart Scott calls from the small blind and Peter Rho checks his option. The flop comes {7-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} and Scott bets 200,000. Rho calls and it brings out the {Q-Hearts} on the turn. Scott slows down and checks to Rho who fires out a bet of 300,000. Scott folds pretty quickly, showing {J-Clubs} {5-Clubs}.
