Christine Klecz Eliminated on the First Hand

Christine Klecz - 14th Place
Christine Klecz - 14th Place
Tournament short-stack Christine Klecz opted not to waste any time getting her chips into the middle, as she pushed all in over the top of a pre-flop raise made by Dane Lomas.

Lomas made the call and tabled {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}, happy to see that he was slightly ahead of Klecz's {3-Spades}{7-Spades}.

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} giving Lomas a pair of aces, which was good enough to eliminate Klecz from the tournament in 14th place, worth $5,260 (AUD).

Karambis Doubles Up First Hand

Larry Karambis moves all in on the very first hand of the day on table 29 and Kevin "BeL0WaB0Ve" Saul makes the call from the big blind

Karambis: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Saul: {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}

The board runs out {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Karambis makes a great start to the day, doubling to over 55,000 chips.

David Steicke Doubles

Kevin "BeL0WaB0Ve" Saul made the initial raise to 8,000 chips and David Steicke raised it up to 20,000 from the small blind. Saul asks Steicke how much he has left before putting his opponent all in. Steicke has about 22,000 in chips left and he goes into the tank before announcing "call".

Saul: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Steicke: {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

The board lands {J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Steicke spikes an ace to leap to over 90,000 chips as Saul doubles up his second opponent of the day.

Nathan Doubles Through Lomas

Must be the shirt...

Action folded around to tournament short-stack Rayan Nathan on the button who open-shoved all in for a total of 16,700. Anna Wroblewski folded her small blind and Dane Lomas slid the required chips across the betting line to make the call.

Nathan: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Lomas: {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Lomas picked up four outs to a gutshot straight when the flop came {J-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and four additional outs when the {8-Hearts} came on the turn.

The last card off the deck was the {9-Hearts}, a safe card for Nathan, and he doubled through to approximately 35,000 in chips.
