Ahmadi Spikes an Aces

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Nick Ahmadi
Nick Ahmadi

Nick Ahmadi got his stack of 77,500 all in pre-flop in a classic coin flip holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} against the {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} of Ryan Eriquezzo. The dealer fanned the {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop and Eriquezzo's pocket queens maintained the lead.

"That's not good" said Ahmadi as the {6-Hearts} hit the turn. Ahmadi was just one card away from elimination and he would need an ace or a king on the river to stay alive.

The {a-Hearts} completed the board and Ahmadi spiked his ace on the river to win the flip and double through Eriquezzo.
