Day 1b of Event #10: $400 Almighty Stack NLH has come to an end after seventeen levels of play and it's Sridhar Sangannagari leading the way with a massive stack of 1,570,000.

That is good for the overall chip lead edging past Spencer Champlin who bagged 1,540,000 in the first flight.

Sangannagari is no stranger to building a big stack this series as he also bagged the chip lead on day 1b of the kickoff event.

Some of the other day 1b big stacks and players that are moving on include Faisal Siddiqui (1,247,000), Mike Marder (1,059,000), Chris Leong (750,000), David Prociak (641,000), Wen Zhang (6330,000), Carlos Matos (580,000) and Mike Wang (398,000).

There are 33 day 1b survivors that will be joining the 75 day 1a survivors on day two.

There were plenty of familiar faces that fell by the wayside on day 1b including Alex JIm, Mike Azzaro, Arnaldo Gordon, Mike McGuinness and Steve Nooralian.

The combined day 1a-f survivors will return to the Event Center on Friday September 13 at 12 PM to resume day two.

A full list of day two chip counts and seating assignments will be posted as soon as they're available.

Carlos Matos Finds a Double

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The under the gun player raised to 10,000 and Carlos Matos moved all in for 95,000. It folded back to the player who called turning over {k-Spades}{q-Spades} and he was flipping with the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} of Matos.

The dealer fanned the {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop and the player paired his queen in the window to take the lead.

The {j-Spades} hit the turn and Matos improved to a set of jacks to regain control. The {4-Hearts} river card sealed the deal for Matos and he doubled his stack.

Williams Spikes a Jack to Crack Diolosa's Aces

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Corey Williams raised to 8,000 from late position and John Diolosa re-raised to 16,000 from the button. Alex Lin made it 55,000 from the big blind and Williams moved all in for 97,000.

With the action on Diolosa he moved all in covering Lin who had about 325,000. Lin went deep into the tank and eventually called and the hands were shown.

Corey Williams: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
John Diolosa: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Alexn Lin: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Diolosa was poised to score the double knockout and scoop the biggest pot of the night holding pocket aces.

The board ran out {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Williams spiked his jack on the river improving to a full house to crack Diolosa's aces and stay alive.

Diolosa took the brutal beat in stride scooping the side pot and Lin was eliminated.
