The 2019 Borgata Poker Open (BPO) continues today with Event #6: $350 Mike Sica Memorial Seniors (50+) at 10 a.m.

For those who may not know, Sica was a New Jersey poker legend amassing nearly $1.3 million in career earnings dating back to 2004. That included a career-best $503,160 and a gold bracelet for winning the 2004 World Series of Poker $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em event.

Sica, often called “Little Man,” unfortunately passed away after a short battle with cancer in November 2013 at the age of 69. A former teacher, Sica was beloved by players for his passion and affable personality.

Last year, the 5th Annual Sunday $350 Mike Sica Memorial Seniors drew 79 runners and offered up a $23,700 prize pool. A deal was struck that ultimately saw Howard Schuman come out on top to the tune of $3,730.

The tournament will start players with 20,000 in tournament chips and late registration and re-entries will remain open through the break at the end of Level 8. Levels 1-15 are 30 minutes in length and then increase to 40 minutes after that.
