The Main Event attracted a full spectrum of familiar names, headlined by BorgataPoker.com Sponsored Pros Daniel "leinad" Buzgon and Michael "Gags30" Gagliano. Others seen in the field included Ari "spinach_kale" Engel, Jonathan "jetsfan411" Borenstein, and Ryan "TheSims" Hohner (34th place - $757.74).

In total, 36 players made it into the money, a feat which was reached one hour after the four-and-a-half-hour late registration period closed. The field was halved to 18 after another hour of play, and that number dropped to 10 shortly thereafter.

Play then lasted for nearly two full levels on the final table bubble before "TheKing411" claimed the chip lead when 10 turned to nine. "DaCoolerKing" and sri50k were the first two to exit, and seven-handed play went on for another two levels after that.

However, the rapid-fire eliminations of mj23style, IReadYrSoul, deerpathdave, rumpthumper, and Bluehaven within a level-and-a-half of each other quickly brought the tournament to heads-up play, where "TheKing411" made quick work of "Rennan23," winning the tournament in less than one level of play.

In Level 39 With Blinds of 100,000/200,000 and an ante of 25,000, "TheKing411" raised to 400,000 on the button and was three-bet to 1.2 million by "Rennan23" in the big blind. "TheKing411" called.

The flop fell {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn came {8-Diamonds} and "Rennan23" checked again. "TheKing411" put out a bet and "Rennan23" check-raised all in. "TheKing411" immediately called.

"TheKing411": {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}

"Rennan23" was drawing dead to the trips of "TheKing411" and hit a consolation {k-Hearts} on the river to finish with the second-best hand and take second place in the tournament, good for a payday of $20,206.40.

"rumpthumper" Eliminated in 4th Place ($10,103.20); Bluehaven Eliminated in 3rd Place ($13,639.32)

Both players checked the flop {5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and the turn came {8-Spades}. "Rennan23" bet 540,000 and "rumpthumper" called.

The river fell {a-Spades} and "Rennan23" made a bet of 1.1 million, large enough to put "rumpthumper" all in, who called.

"rumpthumper": {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
"Rennan23": {q-Spades}{4-Spades}

"rumpthumper's" turned straight became second best to "Rennan23's" rivered flush and they became the fourth-place finisher.

Hand #2: Two hands later, "Rennan23" opened on the button and was three-bet by "Bluehaven," who was in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and "Bluehaven" went all in for 6 million, roughly twice the size of the pot. "Rennan23" called.

"Bluehaven": {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
"Rennan23": {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

"Bluehaven" found themselves in trouble for their tournament life, needing to hit either one of the three remaining kings or running hearts or Broadway cards. The turn {4-Clubs} removed the backdoor outs, leaving them just one shot left at staying alive. It did not come, as the river dropped {4-Diamonds} and the pot was shipped to "Rennan23".
