$100,000 GTD Main Event

Day 1 Completed

“TheKing411” Wins partypoker US Network Online Series Main Event ($21,233)

The $400 buy-in, $100K GTD partypoker US Network Online Series Main Event attracted 270 runners, which meant the $100,000 prize pool was paid out to the top 30 finishers. Among those to cash but fall short of making the final table was Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty (11th - $1,500), BorgataPoker.com Ambassadors Katie Stone (12th - $1,500) and Daniel “leinad” Buzgon (17th - $1,100), Jon “jetsfan411” Borenstein (24th - $850), and “bernstreg” (30th - $650).

At the final table, Vinny “brownmagic” Pahuja was the first to fall after losing a race with queen-jack to the pocket nines of “spinach_kale.” From there, “TheKing411” took over the show eliminating several opponents, including Angel “chromeking” Lopez in fifth place after the former got lucky with ten-four to beat the latter’s ace-queen suited.

With three players remaining, “TheKing411” got lucky again holding ace-king suited against the two black kings of “Pokeher.” A river ten gave “TheKing411” a winning Broadway straight and wound up being the last card of the tournament.

After "Pokeher" bowed out in third place, the final two players quickly came to terms on a heads-up deal to end the tournament. "TheKing411" locked up $21,233.09 and the title, while "odo23" settled for second place and $19,016.92 in prize money.

"Pokerher" Eliminated in 3rd Place ($10,900)

In Level 36 (70,000/140,000/17,500), "Pokeher" raised to 280,000 from the button only to have "TheKing411" three-bet to 1.12 million from the big blind. "Pokeher" responded by four-betting all in for around 5.2 million and "TheKing411" called.

"TheKing411": {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
"Pokeher": {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

"Pokerher" got it in good and managed to avoid an ace on the {q-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts} runout. However, that didn't matter as the river card gave "TheKing411" a winning Broadway straight.

"spinach_kale" Eliminated in 4th Place ($8,200)

In Level 35 (60,000/120,000/15,000), "odo23" raised to 240,000 from the cutoff and "spinach_kale" three-bet to approximately 600,000 from the button, which left him less than 100K behind. The blinds both folded and "odo23" called to see the {5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop.

"odo23" checked and then called when "spinach_kale" bet his last 98K.

"odo23": {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
"spinach_kale": {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The {k-Clubs} turn gave "spinach_kale" two pair but it also gave "odo23" a Broadway straight. The {8-Spades} river failed to fill up "spinach_kale" and he was ousted in fourth place.

Angel "chromeking" Lopez Eliminated in 5th Place ($6,050)

In Level 35 (60,000/120,000/15,000), action folded to chip leader "TheKing411" and they moved all in from the small blind to put the pressure on the short-stacked Angel "chromeking" Lopez, who called off for approximately 1.35 million.

"TheKing411": {10-Spades}{4-Spades}
Angel "chromeking" Lopez: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Lopez got it in good but "TheKing411" took the lead on the {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop. Neither the {j-Hearts} turn nor {5-Hearts} river changed a thing and Lopez was dispatched in fifth place.

"upayformypennys" Eliminated in 8th Place ($2,750)

In Level 34 (50,000/100,000/12,500), "upayformypennys" got the last of their chips all in on an {8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop against "TheKing411."

"upayformypennys": {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
"TheKing411": {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

"upayformypennys" was ahead with aces but "TheKing411" had both straight and flush draws. The {j-Diamonds} turn made the straight draw irrelevant as a seven would now result in a chop, but the {4-Clubs} river was a dagger through the heart of "upayformypennys" as "TheKing411" made the club flush to win the pot.

Vinny "brownmagic" Pahuja Eliminated in 9th Place ($2,000)

In Level 33 (45,000/90,000/11,250), action folded around to Vinny "brownmagic" Pahuja on the button and he moved all in for 768,838, which "spinach_kale" called from the small blind.

Vinny "brownmagic" Pahuja: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
"spinach_kale": {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

It was a flip but Pahuja needed to improve to stay alive. Unfortunately for him, that proved easier said than done as the board ran out an unhelpful {10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}.
