Day 4 of the 2017 Cash Game Festival Malta at Casino Malta by Olympic Casino was a huge success both on and off the poker tables.

Early on in the day, a husband and wife from Latvia, Sergey and Luba, competed on the same €1/€2 no-limit hold'em feature table. Both players were winners with Sergey actually being the biggest winner during the almost three hour session.

While players were competing on the first feature table and side tables, those with the hospitality package headed to the 19th floor of the Intercontinental Hotel for a VIP pool party. It goes without saying that the view was magnificant especially during the sunset.

Players also enjoyed the open bar, tons of swimming, a impromptu breakdance challenge started by Finnish commedian and poker player Veli-Matti Puumala and mini bowling prop bets.

Near the tail-end of the VIP pool party, another €1/€2 no-limit hold'em feature table began. France's Tristan Chevalier was the biggest winner on this table making it two times this festival he has accomplished this impressive feat. Chevalier is now one big feature table win away from tying the record held by both Italy's Federico Drassich (Slovenia - March 2016) and Norway's Knut Rysstad (Gibraltar - May 2016) who each had three feature table wins.

After the pool party ended, many new tables opened including a Sviten Special table. Others were just heading back to the casino before going out on the town including Cash Game Festival veteran from Sweden Niklas Blomqvist. As midnight was approaching, Blomqvist also downed a few drinks with friends at the casino to celebrate his birthday.

Those with the hospitality package tomorrow are invited to a guided city tour hosted by Cash Game Festival vlogger Maxime Roseau. The location of the tour is a mystery, however, even those that are partying through the night should be able to make it as it will begin at 2 p.m. local time.

PokerNews coverage will resume again tomorrow on Day 5 to report all the poker action and the guided city tour.

Cash Game Festival Veteran Niklas Blomqvist just finished playing poker for the night and for good reason. His birthday started at the stroke of midnight.

Blomqvist had a few drinks with his "Cash Game Festival family" before heading out on the town for Saturday night in Malta to celebrate his birthday in style of other "family" members.

Two Wins For France's Tristan Chevalier

France's Tristan Chevalier once again was narrowly the big winner on the feature table booking a profit of more than €250. This makes it the second time he has done it this festival.

He is now one big feature table win away from tying the record held by both Italy's Federico Drassich (Slovenia - March 2016) and Norway's Knut Rysstad (Gibraltar - May 2016) who each had three feature table wins.

Pool Party Players Return, Sviten Special Begins

Many players have returned from the VIP pool party and new tables are being opened to accommodate those that want to immediately hop back into the action.

There are now several no-limit hold'em tables, a pot-limit Omaha table and a newly opened Sviten Special table.

Among the players to make their return are Latvia's Trumulis and Betsafe Ambassador Monika Zukowicz, who immediately popped onto the televised table, Niklas Blomqvist, Michael Fletcher and Andreas Karlsson have also returned to play on side tables.
