Welcome to PokerNews' live coverage of Day 3 of the 2017 Cash Game Festival Slovenia at Perla Casino, located on the border of Italy in Nova Gorica.

Yesterday's action featured seven tables of small and mid-stakes games in a variety of poker variants including no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha and Sviten Special (also known as Drawmaha).

Perla Casino regular Federico Drassich was the star of the show on the feature tables, walking away as the biggest winner with a profit of almost €2,700. However, there was even bigger action that went until the sun rose on a €5/€5 pot-limit Omaha table where everyone was deep stacked and seemingly getting all their money in the middle hand after hand.

One of the great things about the Cash Game Festival, is that it gives players a new opportunity to learn new games. When Janar Kokk and his crew arrived in the evening, hugs were exchanged before a game of Sviten Special broke out. The game featured some experienced players along with some players playing for their first or second times including Cash Game Festival commentator Brandon Allen, Cash Game Festival technical guru Tony Hitrov, Cash Game Festival regular Daniel Näsman and a local Slovenian player Andrej.

The Sviten Special game lasted close to 7 a.m. before the crew hit the breakfast buffet at the hotel. Another game that also went deep into the night was a €1/€2 no-limit hold'em table that players were eagerly waiting to play on since a pair of the group Scandanivan Hunks that performed the night before wanted to get into the action. The "hunks" held their own and after a few hours of play walked away with profit against what appeared to be a tough table full of experienced players.

The Cash Game Festival is also about bonding off the poker tables as well. Many players headed for afternoon of action and adventure at Soca Fun Park yesterday. Today many of the players will be treated to a special dinner at On'Italy. Also on the schedule later on in the festival is a rocking VIP party at Pulse Arena on Saturday and a visit to the world-renowned caves on Sunday.

Today is set to be the biggest day thus far this festival both in terms of the number of tables and the stakes being spread. The early lower stakes feature table will begin at 5:40 p.m. CET on a 20-minute delay followed by a later televised table at higher stakes at 8:40 p.m. CET. You check out the action on the televised feature tables here on PokerNews as well as on the Cash Game Festival website and on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel once action kicks off. In the meantime, you can head to the Twitch channel to see some of the action from the previous two days.
