Value Bet or Bluff?
An interesting hand just took place on the €2/€5 no-limit hold'em feature table between Viacheslav Kovalev and Jon Kyte.
It all began when Kovalev opened to €15 from the cutoff with before he called a three-bet from Kyte to €50 from the big blind with .
Kyte led out for €50 on the flop before Kovalev raised to €125. Kyte tanked for a minute before he called.
The action was checked to Kovalev after the paired the board on the turn. Kovalev bet €125 and Kyte called.
Things got more interesting after the came on the river. Kyte quickly checked and then Kovalev went into the tank for a couple of minutes.
"He is giving off every live tell in the book," shared Cash Game Festival Commentator Andrew Hedley.
Kovalev then jammed for more than €500 into a pot of €600. Whether he thought he was potentially beat and trying to buy the pot or whether he was betting for value is up for debate.
Kyte seemed like he might make a call after hemming and hawing for a couple of minutes. However, he eventually saved himself some money and laid down the hand.
