Million-dollar prizes aren't anything new in the Bahamas. Every January, the Atlantis Paradise Island plays host to the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure where poker's elite compete for huge scores across a variety of big buy-in poker tournaments.

Massive payouts are on the line again in Paradise Island this month. This time, though, poker isn't on the agenda.

Daily fantasy sports leader DraftKings is giving away $1 million to the winner of its Fantasy Baseball Championship on Tuesday, Aug. 26. A total of 50 packages — each worth $54,500 — were awarded to this exclusive event which will award a total of $3.3 million to players based on their fantasy baseball knowledge. Each of the contestants earned their trip by winning a qualifier on DraftKings leading up to this championship event.

For those new to daily fantasy baseball, here are the rules listed on the DraftKings site:

In each game, participants will be assigned a fixed salary cap of $50,000 that they can use to draft their entire 10-player roster. Rosters consist of two pitchers, one catcher, one first baseman, one second baseman, one third baseman, one shortstop, and three outfielders. Each roster must include hitters from at least three different MLB teams.
The Player Pool will consist of all MLB players expected to be playing on a given game day. Any missing players will not be added to the pool once DraftKings starts offering contests for that day. Player salaries will also not change once DraftKings starts offering contests for that day.
Contest results and winners will be based on the total points scored across each entrant's 10-player roster.

We're expecting to see around 35 participants in the Bahamas this week as a handful of them won multiple packages and will have the opportunity to vary their lineups for a better shot at the $1 million top prize. One of those players is well-known poker player Peter "Nordberg" Feldman, who goes by "dandydon" on DraftKings. Feldman has three separate entries for this championship event, while other poker players like Jonathan "driverseati" Tamayo and Al "Al_Smizzle" Zeidenfeld will each have one shot at a million bucks.
