Tatiana "Mysters_Y" Barausova Wins PokerStars EPT Online Event 04: $530 NLHE for $74,951

Tatyana Barausova

It would take almost nine hours before former PokerStars Team Online member Tatiana "Mysters_Y" Barausova took down EPT Online 04: $530 NLHE for $74,951 and an EPT Spade trophy after agreeing to a deal when the tournament was down to three players. She came out victorious in a field that attracted 784 unique players who reentered 355 times to get to a prize pool of $569,500 in total due to the 1,139 entries.

Barausova first started by watching her brother play and kicked off on the microstakes but quickly made Supernova Elite several years in a row which was rewarded with her addition to the Team Online roster back in 2012. She originally played cash but has had many successes in the tournament fields too where her name keeps popping up in the payout lists.

Other familiar names to make the final table included Henrique "Galochina10" Coutinho, Eder "edercampana" Campana, Elliot "4rebmun" Smith, and Gediminas "Gedis92" Uselis.

Battle to the Money

During the first three hours and five minutes of late registration, two reentries were possible and with the tournament being played with ten-minute levels, the chips were flying around from the start. It would be Peter "pitabread189" Chien who was the first to bust when Mike "SirWatts" Watson took hem out. And many more followed him, some of them chose to reenter, some decided to not do that. But in the end, there were almost 400 players left to battle it out to the top 143 who would get paid at least $1,130.

It would take almost 90 minutes before Niklas "Lena900" Astedt burst the bubble by eliminating "Chus1979" when they called Astedt's shove with pocket kings. Astedt held the fours and found another on the flop to connect with and even improved to a full house to paint an even prettier picture.

Race to the Final Table

Many familiar names fell at the wayside when the money was reached and within two hours, the tournament was down to the final two tables. Bernardo "bedias" Dias was taken out by "IDontBlufM8" while "ROUNDSKY" was eliminated by Barausova. Joao "Naza114" Vieira then fell to "akayagi44" followed by Andrey "drupa-lucker" Chernokoz, "MCvisitor", "IDontBlufM8", "Mikensonas", and Tapio "PikkuHUMPPA" Vihakas.

Jesse "ezynow99" Wigan became the final table bubble boy when he ran his ace-jack into the ace-queen of Coutinho and the board ran out four-four-trey-eight-five.

From a Full Table to One Champion

Uselis was the first player to bust at the final table when his lower pocket pair failed to beat the higher one of "Sullo88". Smith got outkicked by Coutinho before "Spotzilla666" took the chip lead. They increased their chip lead when they took out "akayagi44" with a turned full house against the flopped trips of the latter. Campana then busted to Barausova when his tens couldn't beat her king-queen. Soon after, "Sullo88" found ace-king but now ran into the tens of Barausova. "Alisspurred" was eliminated by Barausova too when they ran their tens into her kings.

Eder Campana
Eder Campana finished in sixth place for $18,331

Barausova went into three-handed play with almost 60% of all the chips in play but Coutinho doubled through her before they decided to discuss the numbers. Once a deal had been agreed upon, "Spotzilla666" doubled up too to leave Barausova as the shortest stack. But she showed her patience and skills by climbing back up while Coutinho slowly got shorter.

"Spotzilla666" dealt the final blow to the Brazilian with a turned flush to increase their chip lead but heads-up only lasted seven hands where the balance had tipped in favor of Barausova. "Spotzilla666" three-bet and then called the four-bet shove of Barausova for 33 big blinds with eights. Barausova held king-queen and even though the board gave them lots of chopping outs, she held with the flopped two pair to claim the victory in the end.
