After just over 21 levels of 20 minutes each, Day 1 of the PokerStars EPT Online 08: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max] has come to an end with 15 players making it through to Day 2 on Thursday, November 12 at 7:05 p.m. CET. The $500,000 guaranteed prize pool attracted 171 players who reentered 73 times to get to 244 entries in total, six entries short of reaching the guarantee.

Claiming the Day 1 chip lead with almost 140 big blinds when play resumes is "efkinis24" from Lithuania. Their stack of 4,144,129 is leading the pack by quite a lot as they are followed in the counts by Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood with 3,301,000 and Alexandros "Pwndidi" Theologis with 2,866,808 in the top 3.

Other familiar players to make it through to Day 2 and the $96,144 top prize are Bert "girafganger7" Stevens, Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii, Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker, David "deivid29" Tovar, and Guillaume "Nolet20" Nolet.

Only 31 players would get paid in this tournament and Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph ended up becoming the bubble when he ran his king-queen into the aces of Theologis. But just before that, "efkinis24" had taken out Rui "sousinha23" Sousa for the chip lead.

Claas "ssicK_OnE" Segebrecht, Julien "Stroposoz" Achard-Stropoli, Sami "Lrslzk" Kelopuro, Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi, Christopher "lissi stinkt" Frank, Jens "Fresh_oO_D" Lakemeier, Manuel "fellatiado" Ruivo, and Carlos "Carloss.Rox" Henrique all busted in the money stages.

When the 15 players return, they will finish the last 18 minutes of Level 22 which features a small blind of 15,000, a big blind of 30,000, and a running ante of 3,750. Level duration will remain at 20 minutes until Level 35 where it will then increase to 30 minutes.

Play will continue until another EPT Spade trophy can be awarded and PokerNews will be there for it all so keep checking the updates right here.
