€100,000 EPT Super High Roller

Day 3 Started

Which of Poker's Superstars will Come Out on Top in €100,000 Super High Roller

Even a random selection of six from the 41 entries in the PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona €100,000 Super High Roller would have generated a final day full of superstars. But the players that have returned all have the capacity to win not just this tournament, but any high-roller tournament around the world.

Leading a trio of Americans at the top of the chip counts is Sean Winter, who eliminated Thomas Santerne late last night to burst the money bubble and ensure the remaining six players €278,400.

He is then followed by Day 2 chip leader Seth Davies, looking to add to his SHRB Cyprus win just over a week ago. And the big names keep coming — third in chips is the current GPI #1 Jesse Lonis.

Kayhan Mokri is the only player left in the field who would achieve a new highest cash if they win, but he comes into today with a €20,000 EPT Barcelona title he won only four days ago.

Meanwhile, the two shortest stacks are the table are the newest member of the Poker Hall of Fame Patrik Antonius, and popular Indian poker player Santhosh Suvarna, who most recently took down the WSOP $250,000 Super High Roller. Can either of them add the EPT Barcelona €100,000 Super High Roller to their list of accolades?

It's official. After its return in 2023 following a 12-year hiatus, PokerStars has confirmed that The Big Game on Tour is back again this year, with more episodes to be filmed at the NAPT Las Vegas festival.

Ten episodes of the show were filmed last year, with the likes of Phil Hellmuth, Maria Ho, Lex Veldhuis and Sam Grafton all taking part. The show features a lucky Loose Cannon who receives $50,000 and has to survive 150 hands playing $50/$100 with a table of poker pros, ambassadors, and celebrities.

PokerNews spoke with Big Game on Tour judge and commentator James Hartigan ahead of the show's return, and he says he's thrilled the show is back.

Level 18 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

On the very first hand, action folded to Jesse Lonis AJ who raised to 110,000 and Kayhan Mokri Q9 defended his big blind.

The flop came A109 giving both players a pair. Mokri checked and Lonis continued for 85,000.

Mokri called and the turn was the 4. Again it checked to Lonis who used a time bank before a bet of 295,000 got a quick fold from Mokri.

Winter Outkicks Davies

Level 18 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Seth Davies rasied to 100,000 from under the gun and Sean Winter defended in the big blind.

The 85K flop saw Winter check-call a bet of 70,000 from Davies.

The 2 turn checked through to the Q on the river. Winter checked again and Davies checked back. Winter rolled over A10, while Davies conceded the pot with A9 having been outkicked.

"If I stare at it long enough it'll turn into a chop, right?" joked Davies as he mucked his cards.
