Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb Wins GGFS Event H-05: $10,300 Super MILLION$

Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb entered the final table of the 2021 GG Spring Festival Event H-05: $10,300 Super MILLION$ with the lead and was the last man standing after a one-sided heads-up duel with Brazil's Pedro Garagnani. The event drew a field of 312 entries and the top 35 spots were paid a portion of the $3,120,000 prize pool.

The biggest slice of the pie was awarded on the final day, which lasted all but two and a half hours. Gottlieb recorded his second major victory after earning a his WSOP Online gold bracelet in Event #43: $10,000 Short Deck No Limit Hold'em Championship one year ago. Today's victory came with a payday of $586,074 while Garagnani had to settle for a consolation prize of $451,926.

Among the finalists in the first $10,300 Super MILLION$ edition of the record-setting festival on GGPoker were also Juan Pardo, Christian Rudolph, 2020 WSOP Main Event champion Damian Salas, and Aliaksei Boika.

Action of the Final Day

Gottlieb cruised at the top from the get-go with a solid lead over the rest of the field but it was no straightforward victory for the Mexico-based MTT grinder. He even dropped right into the middle of the pack before a sudden surge propelled Gottlieb into a commanding lead.

Aliaksei Boika was the first to fall when he flopped top pair with king-queen only to run into the pocket aces of "ILUCKuHARD". Andrea Dato scored a double through Gottlieb only to get it in with ace-king against the rockets of Gottlieb, missing out on a gutshot in the process.

Damian Salas was never able to build a stack and eventually three-bet jammed nines into the pocket tens of Pedro Garagnani. An all-diamond flop left Salas with one out and the miracle never happened. Moments later, Christian Rudolph jammed ace-six suited and was drawing dead on the turn as Juan Pardo's ace-queen nailed a full house.

Pardo then surged into the lead but bluffed at the wrong time to send over a full double to Gottlieb. The demise of the Spaniard came a few hands later when he limp-jammed ace-deuce and Garagnani called with ace-jack to leave Pardo drawing dead on the turn.

Juan Pardo
From hero to zero - Juan Pardo finished in 5th Place

Gottlieb assumed the top spot with sheer aggression and knocked out Jordan "PiePie" Cristos in fourth place, prevailing with nines versus sevens in a preflop contest. "ILUCKuHARD" then ran an ill-timed bluff with a busted flush and straight draw, which was exposed by Garagnani with a nine-high straight.

Heads-up play started nearly even in chips but Gottlieb quickly pulled into an overwhelming lead. Within 20 minutes, he dismantled Garagnani and closed it out when the Brazilian jammed queen-jack into his aces. And just like that, the final table wrapped up in two hours and 25 minutes to crown yet another champion.

Pedro Garagnani open-shoved for the final 3,627,450 and was snap-called by Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb.

Pedro Garagnani: {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

The Brazilian ensured to remain live after the {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop but saw his outs reduced to four when the {a-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Only one of the kings in the deck would do it but the {j-Hearts} river gave Gottlieb aces full of jacks.

Garagnani's second deep run of the festival ended in second place and he takes home $451,926. For Gottlieb, it is the second major victory on GGPoker, which is sweetened by the top prize of $586,074.

Pedro Garagnani made it 500,000 to go on the button and picked up a call from "ILUCKuHARD" in the big blind. Both players checked the {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop and "ILUCKuHARD" led the {5-Clubs} turn for 364,500. Garagnani raised to 1,025,000 and "ILUCKuHARD" came along.

On the {7-Hearts} river, "ILUCKuHARD" jammed for just shy of 3 million and Garagnani tank-called. "ILUCKuHARD" was caught bluffing with the {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Garagnani earned the pot with {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a straight.

Damian Salas: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The first $10,300 Super MILLION$ of the 2021 GG Spring Festival will determine a champion today. Out of a field of 312 entries, only nine players remain in contention for Event H-05: $10,300 Super MILLION$. They will battle for the lion's share of the $3,120,000 prize pool and have $73,259 locked up for their efforts so far.

However, all eyes are set on the top prize of $586,075 and a significant bankroll boost for the rest of the busy April schedule. The best-positioned to take down the tournament is Mexico-based WSOP Online bracelet winner Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb, who will enter the final table with 8,062,633 in chips. That'll be 100 big blinds as the blinds roll back to 40,000-80,000 with a running ante of 10,000.

Jordan "PiePie" Cristos made his first Super MILLION$ cash and follows in second place with a stack of 5,428,124, Brazil's Pedro Garagnani (4,455,411) and Juan Pardo (4,185,732) trail that by only a few big blinds. Another WSOP Online bracelet winner sits right in the middle of the pack, as Austria-based Christian Rudolph has 3,193,227 at his disposal.

Damian Salas has also carried over his formidable form at the online and live poker tables, having reached yet another major final table. The 2020 hybrid WSOP Main Event champion is one of four shorter stacks with 1,987,198. The other finalists include "ILUCKuHARD", Andrea Dato, and Aliaksei Boika.
