H-49: $25,500 Super High Roller

Day 1 Started

Who Will in the $2 Million GTD GGSF H-49: $25,500 Super High Roller?

GG Spring Festival
GG Spring Festival

The inaugural $150 million guaranteed GG Spring Festival has been a huge success thus far at GGPoker and some of the biggest names in the world of poker will lock horns once more in the next high-stakes contest. At 7:05 pm BST (1:05 p.m. EDT), Event H-49: $25,500 Super High Roller will get underway at the fastest growing online poker network right now.

A similar event in the H-23: $25,500 Super High Roller took place when 88 entries generated a $2.2 million prize pool to smash the $2 million guarantee. Dario Sammartino shipped the event for $508,448 and will likely be back in the hunt for another big score today.

The tournament already had 17 entries pre-registered three hours before the event with GGPoker Ambassadors Fedor Holz and Anatoly Filatov in the mix. Among the other players registering early were Wiktor Malinowski, Adrian Mateos, Darren Elias, Michael Zhang, Ole Schemion, David Yan, and Rui Ferreira.

The structure and format remain the same as the previously aforementioned one-day High Roller. All players receive 100,000 in chips, which are worth 200 big blinds in the first level at 250/500/60a. Unlimited re-entries are allowed during the registration period, which lasts five full hours until 11:05 p.m. BST (6:05 p.m. EDT). By then, the blinds will likely have reached 4,000/8,000 with a running ante of 1,000.

The level duration is set to 15 minutes each until the nine-handed final table has been reached. Once the nine contenders unite to one table, the action will switch to a fixed amount of hands until a winner has been crowned. Stay tuned to find out who goes all the way as the PokerNews team provides comprehensive updates from start to finish.
