Easy Squeezy

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Ivan Leow has brought his 'good spot detector' with him today and just found another great spot to pick up some free chips. It all started when Xiaobo Zhou made it 180,000 to go on the button and Chang Bo Feng made the call from the small blind. That was like waving a red flag at a bull, as Ivan Leow was in the big blind.

Leow squeezed to 625,000 and Zhou did not look happy about it at all, but he eventually folded, as did Feng, leaving Leow to pad out his stack to the tune of 410,000, all without showdown.

Big Stack Battle

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Ivan Leow and Chang Bo Feng are playing a game of tug-of-war when it comes to the chip lead. Leow's pulling hardest right now.

After Feng opened to 185,000 on the button, Leow called from the small blind and the two went heads-up to an {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. Feng continued for 180,000 when it checked to him, but Leow stuck around to see the {7-Spades} turn, which both checked.

That brought a river card: {5-Clubs}. Leow checked again, and Feng check ed it back. He'd muck when Leow showed {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

Walton Pushes Off Zhang, Zhou Takes From Leow

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
OPC Final Table Action
OPC Final Table Action

Action folded around to Wayne Zhang in the small blind and he raised to 160,000 but was shut down immediately by Austin Walton who moved all-in and Zhang folded.

In the next hand, it was Ivan Leow doing the betting, making it 130,000 to go from the cutoff, with big blind Xiaobo Zhou the only caller. The flop was of the rainbow variety, coming down {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts} and both players checked.

First position means first chance to take a stab, and that's what Zhou did on the {3-Diamonds} turn, making it 170,000. There was a bit of back-and-forth banter between Leow and Zhou in Mandarin which resulted in Leow making an impulsive call, which took Zhou back a bit and the {4-Clubs} river completed the hand.

There was more banter, with Zhou asking Leow if he would bluff at the pot if he (Zhou) checked, with Leow answering in the negative. He was telling the truth as when Zhou checked, Leow checked it right back and the Chinese player won the pot with {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} when Leow mucked.

Leow Back In Front

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Ivan Leow seems to pick all the right spots to be super aggressive. Take this one, for example.

Xiaobo Zhou opened to 130,000 on the button, which Chang Bo Feng called out of the small blind and Leow came along from the big. Three ways to the flop, it fell {3-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and checked to the raiser. Zhou continued for 230,000 which Feng called, but Leow now squeezed it up to 650,000. Only Zhou would call.

With the pot now pretty huge, the turn was the {2-Clubs} and Leow loaded the gun before firing 1.1 million. Zhou squirmed in his seat and began a long deliberation process which would last several minutes. Eventually the clock was called and ticked all the way down to five before Zhou gave it up.

He’s down to 3.05 million now, while Leow is back in front with 4.95 million.

Walton Wins One and Loses One

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

There have been some more chip movements in two recent pots that have seen Austin Walton win one and lose one. Cheng Bo Wang was the pre-flop aggressor in the first hand, with Walton defending his big blind to bring both players to a flop of {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Walton checked the action over to Feng, who fired for 130,000, but folded to a Walton check-raise of 400,000.

The Next hand saw a blind on blind battle between Walton and Xiaobo Zhou, though we only picked up the action on the river. The community cards were spread {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and there was close to 800,000 in the pot. Walton had checked and was facing a Zhou bet of 450,000.

Eventually, the US player folded, leaving Zhou to rake in the pot, though the Chinese player was nice enough to flash the {8-Diamonds} to show his opponent that he at least had something.

Feng Picks Off Zhang Bluff

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Wayne Zhang's stack is now hovering around the 23 big blind mark as he's just had a bluff picked off by Chang Bo Feng.

The latter had opened the button to 140,000 and Zhang defended his big blind. When the {9-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop landed Zhang check-called a 140,000 continuation bet, before both checked the {3-Hearts} turn.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Zhang opted to take a stab worth 260,000. Feng snap-called though, and when Zhang showed {q-}{j-} for air Feng took it down with his {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a pair of nines.

Four-Bet From Leow

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Austin Walton opened the cutoff to 150,000 and that got a call from Xiaobo Zhou on the button. Chang Bo Feng was in the small blind, and he came in for a three-bet to 450,000. But then Ivan Leow cold-four bet from the big blind, moving all-in. That got three quick folds.
