After ten levels of 45 minutes each, 26 players out of a field of 93 survived Day 1B to progress through to Day 2 of the $1,150 Main Event of the Summer Championships here at the Poker Palace at Club Marconi. That adds to the 26 who made it through on Day 1A. So far, there have been 179 entries in total, which should see the estimated prize pool of $250,000 easily reached on Day 1C.

Emran Abu (412,500) bagged the most chips after a solid day, with Marco Perri (350,500), Majid Saab (326,000), and Ram Lakshamanasamy (308,000) hot on his tail. Kiavash Arbabi, who won the APL Million event last year, also had a strong day finishing with an above-average stack.

After having no luck in the $550 Satellite to the $5,000 Super High Roller event, Mark Yazbeck jumped into the Main and finally turned things around to end the day with a top 10 stack, while satellite winners David Rodwell and Chris Pisani G. will be hoping to parlay their satty investment into a five-figure cash.

The other Chris Pisani (uncle of Chris Pisani G.) also made it through with the shortest stack of 45,000, just under the original starting stack of 50,000. Finally, Daniel Embleton will also be there on Day 2, helped by a triple-up as a short stack earlier in the day when his pocket aces held up.

Saturday will see the final two flights of the event played, with Day 1C kicking off at noon and the turbo Day 1D at 6 p.m local time. Follow all the action of Day 1C with complete coverage here on PokerNews, while Day 1D chip counts will be added later in the night.
