A total of 174 entrants ponied up the €250 buy-in to the PokerNews Cup Main Event with 36 players surviving until the end of the day. In addition to the 98 entrants that played yesterday, we are now at 272 players after two opening days. Many more are expected on hand during the two remaining opening days taking place tomorrow, Nov. 21 to compete for a share of at least €200,000 guaranteed prize pool .

Germany's Jens Dengler finished as the Day 1B chip leader mounting a huge 412,000 chip stack. He currently sits in second place heading into Day 2 just behind Lithuania's Rytas Staniukynas' impressive stack of 446,000 chips. Fellow Lithuanian and Day 1A participant Tomas Steponkus sits in third place heading into Day 2 with 339,500 chips.

Among the exits today include some familiar faces including Unibet Pro Quentin Lecomte. Additionally, we saw two of the players that chopped the PokerNews Cup Opening Event not progress to the second day after today's action in Przemyslav Omylak and Matus Schnierer. Additionally fan favorites "Janja", Wansa Trensch, and online qualifier Inna Ohorodnyk all hit the showers during the day.

Meanwhile, Australian traveler who stated it was either double up a bunch of times or head off to Prague before the last level of the night, went from 20,000 to 120,000 during the last blind level to set himself up to be in the middle of the pack in Day 2. When we asked him if he would rest up for tomorrow, he laughed and said, "No chance, I'm going to enter the €60 side event."

The PokerNews Cup Main Event continues its play tomorrow with Day 1C tomorrow at 14:00 and a turbo Day 1D at 21:00. Also on the schedule tomorrow is a €40 buy-in Turbo Satellite awarding at least five guaranteed seats at 11:00 CET along with the €60 buy-in King's Hold'em Championship with a €12,000 Euro guarantee at 17:00 CET. Those hanging around late tomorrow will also be able to play in the €100 buy-in PokerNews King's Deepstack Late Night Turbo at 23:00 CET.

Online Qualifer Inna Ohorodnyk Exits Day 1B

Online Qualifier Inna Ohorodnyk wasn't able to get much going today, but stood tough for most of the day. Just now, she was all-in for her last 7,000 chips against an open raiser.

Unfortunately for Ohorodnyk, her {3-}{3-} was no match for her opponent's {A-}{A-}. The board failed to help Ohorodnyk, and we hope she enjoys the rest of her trip to the Czech Republic.

Przemyslav Omylak Exits and Re-enters

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Poland's Przemyslav Omylak was one of the five players to chop the PokerNews Cup Opening Event. Omylak shared with us that he used his first bullet of the day after trying to bluff a pot, and then pushing all-in with {a-Spades}{2-Spades} only to get called by two players. He was drawing dead on the flop when one of his opponents hit a flush.

Omylak is already back in action with his second bullet, as each day allows players up to one re-entry.

Ertan Sen Busts After Getting Crippled on a Bad Beat

Ertan Sen traveled 1,000 km to King's Casino in Rozvadov, and unfortunately for him his day is over after a run of bad luck.

First, he lost a monster pot when he was all-in with pocket kings against pocket queens. A queen hit the turn to put a dent in his stack by not winning a pot worth about 90,000 chips.

Not too much later, he pushed his small stack all-in to exit the tournament.

The second starting day of the €250 buy-in PokerNews Cup Main Event at the King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic is scheduled to get underway in half an hour from now at 17:00 local time. In yesterday's first flight, 98 entries were generated with 19 survivors making it through to Day 2. The two Lithuanian players to enter the tournament, Rytas Staniukynas (446,000 chips) and Tomas Steponkus (339,500 chips) currently hold the top two spots after Day 1A.

As it is a Friday night, we expect more players to enter in this flight to compete for the at least €200,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Also on today's schedule is a €35 buy-in Mega Satellite to the Main Event which started at 13:00 CET and awarded 11 seats - three more than the eight guaranteed. Additionally, the €100 buy-in PokerNews Cup Pot Limit Omaha 1 x Rebuy or AO event just kicked off at 16:00 CET which features a €10,000 prize pool, and later in the evening at 19:00 CET there will be the €50 buy-in King's Hold'em Adventure NLH event with €10,000 guarantee.

We bumped into Australian traveler and poker enthusiast Lewis Murray at the buffet, and after busting out of the satellite he told us that he plans to join in on the Pot Limit Omaha tournament. He told us he decided to stay at King's Casino instead of heading to Prague as originally planned stating, "I am not going to be such a nit." He also shared with us that he will be playing again tomorrow in the Main Event in Day 1C.

The winner of the PokerNews Cup Opening Event Timothy Weltner was also spotted at the buffet and shared with us he plans to play the €50 buy-in event. Weltner was one of the day 1A survivors with 102,500 chips.

Players will be able to re-enter today one time if they bust out. Additionally, players that busted yesterday can enter up to two times today. King's Casino will also allow players that finished yesterday with a short-stack to forfeit their chips and start fresh on any of the opening days if they so choose.
