Benoit Kuhn in the Lead

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
BKRF Investments
BKRF Investments

Day 1C is in the books, and King's Casino regular poker player who plays under the alias "BKRF Investments" is the chip leader with 325,500 chips. The third opening flight was by far the largest with 402 players entering.

At the end of the day, 94 remain from the field to join the 19 from Day 1A and 36 from Day 1B to play tomorrow in Day 2. Currently running is a turbo-charged Day 1D that has 120 entrants with late registration still open for a little while.

Among the exits today include some familiar faces including Unibet Pro Quentin Lecomte, King's Casino regular Roman Cieslek, Germany's Stephan Steven, massage establishment owner Chikkita, and local poker dealer and player Matus Schnierer. Additionally, fan favorites "Janja", Wansa Trensch, and online qualifier Attila Toth-Madi all hit the showers during the day.

"BKRF Investments" shared with us that his alias comes from his initials "BK" and initials of his good friend "RF". He went on to say, "Investments is because we like to burn money." True to his word, straight after he bagged his chips for the day, he ran to the cashier to buy into the €60 buy-in King's Hold'em Championship before late registration closed.

On the way to the table, the Day 1C chip leader shared, "I'm looking to burn more money." Overall, "BKRF Investments" currently sits in fourth place behind behind the overall chip leader from Lithuania, Rytas Staniukynas (446,000 chips), Day 1B chip leader from Germany, Jens Dengler (412,000 chips), and Lithuania's Tomas Steponkus (339,500 chips).

Day 2 resumes tomorrow at 14:00 local time. Tune into PokerNews for updates as they happen.

Psi0Nic's Plan Back Fires

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Psi0Nic
Psi0Nic

As seems to be always the case, Psi0Nic was in good spirits. This was even true after busting out when he jammed all in with {K-}{J-} and wound up being called by the player in the big blind who woke up with {K-}{K-}. Psi0Nic was unable to improve and is out of the tournament, however, his night of poker isn't over yet.

Psi0Nic shared with us that he plans to enter the €100 buy-in turbo knockout side event that starts in less than an hour. We overheard a few other players saying they were looking forward to playing it as well.

Psi0Nic Hopes to Double Up at Least Once

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Another player we caught up with on break was Germany's Psi0Nic. He said he has been all-in a few times hoping to get called for a double-up.

He plans to continue this strategy during the last blind level of the night in hopes of coming back for Day 2 tomorrow with a good stack. He currently sits at less than 12 big blinds with around 46,000 chips.

Ceylan Candemir Exits

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Ceylan Candemir
Ceylan Candemir

We looked around the poker room, and it seems to be all men left in Day 1C and it is believed that Ceylan Candemir was the last woman standing.

While we don't know what Candemir was holding since she mucked her hand, we can assume she hit a piece of the jack-high board. Her opponent had the nuts on the turn with an ace-high flush, and the river didn't change the fact that his hand was unbeatable.

Two Women Out of Day 1C

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Wansa Trensch
Wansa Trensch

At almost the exact same time, both Thailand's Wansa Trensch and Italy's Janja both busted out of the tournament. We suspect we haven't seen the last of either of them as late registration is still open in this flight and the turbo Day 1D flight starts in just two hours.

Roman Cieslik Busts

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Roman Cieslik
Roman Cieslik

Roman Cieslik is if anything entertaining. While our live coverage team was watching his table, he was all-in for five straight hands. One might think this is odd enough, but to make matters more entertaining he did so without looking at his cards.

Luck didn't go his way with his interesting "strategy." He was all-in on the flop of {A-}{10-}{4-} and seemed pleased with himself after he turned over his cards and learned he actually had an {A-} in his hand. His opponent, Michael Fischer, wasn't as entertained as the rest of the table at first due to being behind with {9-}{9-}.

However, as fate would have it, a {9-} spiked the river to send Cieslik on the rail. We won't be surprised to see him back in action or deciding to play some of the action-packed ring games running around the clock at King's Casino.

Meanwhile, BKRF Investments, is one of the players that is sad to see Cieslik go, saying, "Do you want to know about the crazy guy?" referring to Cieslik. BKRF Investments now has also seen his stack nearly double from the 30,000 players began the day with.

Welcome to Day 1C of the 2015 PokerNews Cup

King's Casino Poker Table logo
King's Casino Poker Table logo

The third starting day of the €250 buy-in PokerNews Cup Main Event at the King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic is scheduled to get underway in half an hour from now at 14:00 local time. In yesterday's first flight, 174 entries were generated with 36 survivors making it through to Day 2. Germany's Jens Dengler finished as the Day 1B chip leader mounting a huge 412,000 chip stack - which is good enough for second overall through the first two flights.

Two Lithuanian players hold two of the other top three spots thanks to their great performance in Day 1A on Thursday. Rytas Staniukynas is currently sitting on top of the field with 446,000 chips, while fellow countryman Tomas Steponkus currently resides in third place with 339,500 chips.

We already have close to 100 players registered for Day 1C to compete for a share of the at least €200,000 prize pool, and it is expected to be the biggest of the four opening flights with the long line we just witnessed for those waiting to join in on the action. The fourth and final opening flight takes place in a turbo format later in the day at 21:00 CET.

Also on the schedule today is a €40 buy-in Turbo Satellite awarding at least five guaranteed seats that began at 11:00 CET. Later in the day there are a couple of more lower buy-in side events with the €60 buy-in King's Hold'em Championship featuring a €12,000 Euro guarantee kicking off at 17:00 CET and the late-night €100 buy-in PokerNews King's Deepstack Late Night Turbo starting at 23:00 CET.

Players will be able to re-enter today one time if they bust out. Additionally, players that busted during the first two opening flights can enter up to two times today. King's Casino will also allow players that finished yesterday with a short-stack to forfeit their chips and start fresh on any of the two remaining opening days if they so choose.
