European Poker Tour 2023

Poker fans can look forward to a bumper year of poker with the release of the PokerStars 2023 European Poker Tour schedule.

With five events — including two brand-new destinations in Paris and Cyprus — the EPT schedule balances players' favourites with exciting new additions, that's according to Cedric Billot, PokerStars Head of Global Live Event Operations.

"Having two new iconic new locations will help us make players' dreams in 2023 without any doubt. The first time in the glamorous French capital and another exciting new addition to the tour — Cyprus.

"It's the perfect location to add to our schedule and we look forward to bringing all that an EPT has to offer to this new location.

The 2023 EPT calendar kicks off with a nine-day festival at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile, in partnership with Le Club Barrière Paris. EPT Paris will be the first EPT stop on French soil since EPT Deauville seven years ago, with the tour visiting Deauville on nine occasions from 2005 to 2015.

Paris will be the 13th different European capital to host a stop on the European Poker Tour — how many can you name? Answers at the bottom of the article!

The traditional and highly popular stops of EPT Monte-Carlo and EPT Barcelona retain their Spring and Summer slots respectively, both offering two weeks of exciting poker action.

2022's EPT Barcelona saw the record broken for biggest EPT Main Event ever, with the Spanish stop consistently one of the most popular live events in the world. The event will again return to Casino Barcelona in 2023.

MERIT location

The 2022 Autumn slot was filled with a successful return of EPT London, but there will be a brand-new EPT location for 2023.

The Merit Royal Hotel Casino & Spa (pictured) will host EPT Cyprus from October 11-22, the first brand new EPT stop since 2018 (EPT Sochi).

The venue has hosted hugely successful poker tournaments in the past including the Merit Poker Vintage Series and the Triton Poker Coin Rivet Invitational, won by PokerStars Ambassador Sam Grafton.

Next year's EPT schedule is rounded out by the traditional December stop in Prague. The 2023 edition of EPT Prague will run from 6-17 December.

European Poker Tour Satellites

Players will be able to satellite into European Poker Tour events directly from the PokerStars client, with online satellites for Paris live from December 1.
