Day 2 of the 2020 PokerStars Stadium Series Freezeout Weekly Final - High: $530 NLHE [8-Max] has come to an end with nine players out of 2,101 entries returning for the final table on Tuesday, July 14 at 5:05 p.m. CEST. All nine players have secured at least $10,467 but will all be looking to claim that fabulous first-place prize of $157,004. They have also all earned a ticket for the Stadium Series Freezeout Grand Final - High: $5,200 NLHE which will take place on August 2 and have a whopping $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Coming back to the final table with the chip lead is Michael "munchenHB" Telker with 47,449,475 in chips. The American player who lives in Costa Rica has already won a tournament during this series when he took down Heat 2 a week ago for $42,416 and $37,664 in bounties. Almost half of his stack used to belong to "genkigoat" when a pot of almost 40 million was in the middle on the seven-ten-king flop. "genkigoat" had flopped a set of kings while Telker had the straight and flush draw. The hearts on the turn and on the river didn't pair the board for "genkigoat" as they were eliminated just before the final table bubble.

Telker is followed by Patrick "Nelepo10" Ulysséa in the counts with 40,780,505. Ulysséa help the chip lead for most of the latter stages of the tournament after eliminating Marc "14alonso14" Macdonnell when he called the five-bet shove of the latter for over 23 million each with aces. Macdonnell had kings and even though he picked up a gutshot to a straight on the flop, he couldn't find more help on the board which sent him packing in twelfth place. Closing out the podium for today is Xiaoxiao "W.Leung" Niao with 34,862,054.

Completing the final table are Manuel "fellatiado" Ruivo, Paulius "D3cor" Vaitiekunas, Eli "Timunim" Fagundes, "Boootsy", "deadfizh", and "fpfeifer97". The chip count leader board can be found below:

Day 2 started with 145 players in their seats but the eliminations came in in a flurry. Players like Anatoly "NL_Profit" Filatov, Caio "pessagno" Pessagno, Paul "Fold Machiii" Dando, Alisson "heyalisson" Piekazewicz, Florian "AAgoodfold" Duta, Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski, Joris "BillLewinsy" Ruijs, Andy "BowieEffect" Wilson, Andreas "mrAndreeew" Berggren, and Steven "SvZff" van Zadelhoff all fell at the wayside at some point today.

Day 1 chip leader Douglas "dougalopes" Lopes fell victim to Telker when his sevens couldn't beat the ace-queen of the latter when he turned two pair too. Another notable elimination belongs to Artem "veeea" Vezhenkov, the three-time Sunday Million winner. He shoved with king-seven on the trey-four-deuce-ace-nine board and was check-called by Ruivo who had a pair of fours to see the former leave this Weekly Final in thirteenth place.

When the final table returns, they will finish the remainder of Level 40 which features a small blind of 300,000, a big blind of 600,000, and a running ante of 75,000. The level duration was 25 minutes but according to the tournament lobby, the level duration would change once the final table was reached. The exact details are not visible in the software right now.
