The RunGood Poker Series main event at the Downstream Casino just outside of Joplin, MO is underway. The first flight was Friday at 7 p.m. and 19 players have moved on to Day 2.
There are two more starting flights Saturday and more players will be looking join chipleader Jacob Seale and the 18 other players for the Day 2 retstart Sunday at noon.
This is the third stop of the RGPS All-Stars season which will culminate in 32 qualifiers playing in a televised tournament at the PokerGO studio in Las Vegas.
A few players have already booked their seat thanks to the casino championships at Council Bluffs and Jamul Casino in San Diego. The main event winners from each stop and the casino champions will earn a seat. Currently, Sam Washburn leads the casino championship standings with two final tables. Washburn has found a great deal of success lately, with an RGPS Tulsa main event win and a WSOP circuit ring from the Tunica Horseshoe main event.
Washburn will be joined by several familiar faces to the RGPS stops as well as a strong contingent of locals, each poised to take a shot at being an All-Star and testing their skills in a televised poker tournaments against some of the most recognizable faces in poker.
Each player will start with 20,000 chips. They will have 12 30-minute levels to book their seat in Day 2, which will restart Sunday at noon.
Registration for all flights will be open until the start of level nine.

There was a big three-way all-in early in level two. Tim Black won the hand and Patrick Dixon survived, but one player hit the rail after flopping bottom set.
The board read and the soon-to-be-eliminated player shoved 17,700. Black reshoved for slightly more — 19,200. Dixon called having both players covered.

Leading up to this weekend’s $575 Main Event, a series of side events have been taking place here at the RGPS All-Stars Downstream Casino.
In Event #2: $185 Deepstack, 376 runners created a $54,520 prize pool that was paid out to the top 45 players. Among those to cash were Andrew Berdahl (3rd - $5,152), Harry Agnew (6th - $2,099), Derrick Contreras (9th - $1,221), Papa Karn (14th - $703), Preston McEwen (15th - $703), Kaleb Morgan (22nd - $436), Cecil Hopkins (27th - $436), Cody Coffman (31st - $354), and Eric Anderson (41st - $300).
In the end, Lance Ledford and Brett Nigh struck a heads-up deal that saw them each lock up $10,143. As part of the deal, Ledford was crowned champ and claimed the All-Stars ring.

Adam Todd made it 500 to go under the gun and Eric Anderson raised to 1,500 from middle position. The player behind him called and Todd moved all-in for 6,800.
Anderson went all in for a covering stack and the player behind called for less — about 9,000.

The board ran out and Todd tripled up. Anderson made about 2,500 back from the eliminated player and is still sitting with a healthy stack as the final minutes of level three tick away.

Each RunGood Poker Series stop this season will crown one player the casino champion. So far Jennifer Gianera (Jamul Casino) and Christopher Christian (Horseshoe Council Bluffs) have won their seats to the All-Stars event to be held in December at the PokerGO studio.

Currently, Sam Washburn leads the race at Downstream Casino, and if he wins he may be the first player to do so without winning a tournament. Washburn has two final tables so far this series.
The casino champions will join the winners of each of the main events this season at the All-Stars event. In total, 32 players will earn a seat to this special tournament where they will get the chance to play against invited guests. PokerGO will broadcast the event.
